Is that new? I never had to key in any stock sales manually with Deluxe but that was a few years ago. I had like 11 pages worth of day trades, no way I was gonna type that in LoL. I remember everything was imported from Schwab.

If you're in a State like NY where tax software has to include the State return, can you buy the Deluxe that doesn't include State and still get the State return you need?

Under "From the manufacturer" in the section titled "Improved W-2 import" is does say "...and your 1099 tax form data from participating financial institutions." I think that would include Form 1099-B.

Unless something has changed, you can still import 1099's.. No need to type investment info manually

Unless they changed it this year, you cannot import .csv files into Deluxe. You need Premier for that.

I think that refers to the e-filing only. If you do not buy the Deluxe version with State, you will not be able to download the NYS IT-201 tax form to complete your state tax return. If you don't have this form, there is nothing to e-file. Of course, you can check with TurboTax directly to confirm.

I've always done this online, how much does it cost to add an extra state to do it offline, I remember is $45 online for additional states. Can I import my online data offline?
