Maybe, but size is not the only consideration. Some people like the clear containers to easily see contents without having to open. Also, color coordination with red or green containers/lids to easily identify Christmas items. The Home Depot ones you're referring to are probably the black and yellow bins. They're a good size and sturdy, but again, there are other considerations when selecting storage bins. This is a good deal for this size and type.

Exactly. I only buy clear see through totes. And these Hefty with the tall lids are nice for the price.
