i removed the link. it had a ref by accident and i guess slickdeals blocks it because they want to profit off of it themselves. i didnt even know about any of this affiliates shit. it was the link i had in the url bar. anyways, just use the deal button, it works for me.

The wheels on these are really bad according to the 1-star review but I know that most things are pretty bad nowadays.

Not the best looking suitcase? That's perfect. The uglier, the better. Makes it easier to spot at baggage claim lol

I bought a few of these for a recent international trip when they were $60 last month. For the money, pretty good. Had an issue with one that had a wheel that didn't spin freely. Also, my daughter overstuffed it and a zipper broke. And because that one was pretty heavy it fell over easily. But again, all in all, pretty good luggage for the money.

You could always replace the wheels with some nice spinners and ultra-low profile tires. [gifer.com]

Does this brand have terrible wheels. What's the point if the wheels fail?

I think most brands have wheels that are prone to failure. They tend to last only for a few years. This type of wheel housing is better than most, and I think the worst wheels are the double narrow wheels.
I like this bag's exterior as it definitely has proven to be durable and can take a beating. I have the smaller version that must be about 10 years old by now. The rubber outer cladding of one rear wheel broke off, leaving the rigid plastic wheel core in place. I bought a kit of skateboard replacement wheels from eBay for about $12 (for 2). Took a little effort to saw through the wheel axle but, MUCH, MUCH better wheels. Within a couple trips, the second rear wheel also broke apart and that went easier. Example [amazon.com] from Amazon. You just have to be careful to buy wheels with the same measurements as the originals.

I had one of these for about 14 years before the handlebar broke, then the top strap tore, then a bucket of paint fell off my garage shelf and splashed only onto my luggage and floor.

Now I have a 4 wheel spinner hard clam shell since I kept over stuffing my luggage and stressing out when it didn't squeeze into the overhead bin. 😅

This is a good buy if you're avoiding a hard clam shell since it has plenty of pockets and is well built, but the clam shell is lighter and probably what I'll stick to in the future.

Hope this helps someone!

Are there no two-wheelers anymore? It's all 4-wheel spinners these days. I have a 21" SwissGear for over 15 years and I no longer see that quality anymore.

That being said, this medium sized check-in does look good. Wheels would be the primary concern for durability.

I read the reviews too and I've read the reviews of like 50 other ones including samsonite. There are always 1 stars saying the wheel broke. There is no way to avoid it now. Show me a single suitcase with a lot of reviews on amazon that didn't say the wheels broke. At least this one has a housing so the wheel can only deteriorate and not break off from the shipment. of course I didn't read the reviews for suitcases over 200 dollars though. I'm not even sure why there's even a wheel problem now because my 15 year old no brand suitcases never had broken wheels. Meanwhile I stored it in a hot room and the plastic handles have literally fractured on their own but the wheels are fine still.
