Great laptop in so many ways.. but, imo, a crummy display panel.

Lenovo offers a beautiful 500 nit panel, that's the one to go for.

Would be a great deal at about $900.. but it seems the industry has too many 7xxx chips so we see gouging going on and this game of chicken on how long the consumer will wait for lower prices..

I have this model, just with a 7000 series CPU. I am very pleased with it. The display, although not true HDR, is bright and sharp. The RTX4070 is 140W if I recall correctly and the laptop design does a fine job keeping it cool.
There's also been a steady stream of BIOS updates.

The crosshair model of the msi is generally much much lower quality than the Legion, or even the LOQ, performances also dips in this crosshair model.

It comes down to whether or not not you want the new GPU with a small increase in performance vs the $700-$1000 more it will cost when it first comes out versus buying the current laptop with 4070 right now on sale.

I bought this 2 months ago on Lenovo's site, and got $50 in cashback and $100+ in rewards, as well as some CC cashback.

Check it out on Lenovos site as cashback and rewards might be better.

I bought this last year and returned it. The wifi card was not working out of the box, i was only getting kbps of speed and had to a factory reset. I believe the wifi cards were having issues. While factory resetting the system gave me an error and required me to get a key to unlock the system. Another issue i had was closing full screen pages the computer would not let me click on anything. After factory resetting the wifi speeds were fine. If you buy this first test the wifi card before installing everything.

I have seen both the 350nit and 500nit screen side by side. This is a little bit dramatic, both were very good.

Ordered one yesterday, thanks OP. Feels like a fair price, not a slick deal, but I needed to replace my broken G14 asap.
