For what it's worth I got this last year for $1799 and I've been very happy with it
If you watch a lot of stuff on cable/satellite or other lower resolution stuff, I'd take this over a Hisense or TCL just for the better processing and upscaling. I feel like way too many people rely on rtings for specs, and not what they'd actually see in their own homes.

LG typically gets bad rep for their non-OLED models but this is one of their better models .

can't speak on comparative terms..but bought the x90cl for my media room (no windows) and was very impressed with the Sony..
