I have this lock, it's a decent lock for the price. i have to change the batteries out every 6 months or so which is not big deal. It sends a notification when the batteries are low so you have ample time to change them out before it completely dies. It works off wifi and I can unlock and lock my door from anywhere. If the wifi is out or the power is, the lock will still work cause it's battery powered but you can't lock and unlock it remotely without access to WiFi.

My favorite feature that this lock has, it will send a notification to your phone whenever the door is locked and unlocked. It also lets you set up special passwords per person which I think is a neat feature too.

Overall, it's not the best lock on the market of course, but it gets the job done for a good price.

I have a variation of this lock from Eufy. My batteries lasted 2 years before needing to be replaced. I used to have it set to autolock when I left the house but I got tired of locking myself out everytime I went to get the mail. Now if I ever wonder if my door is locked I can just look no matter where I am in the world.

I've had packages delivered while out of town before and have asked friends to stop by the house and toss it in my door. I can unlock it for them while they're there and lock it when they leave. Or I can just give them a time restricted pass code.

These are really great devices, and Anker has been pretty reliable as a brand so far. Haven't been disappointed with anything I have by them.

ed. Also my came with like six physical keys, so even if the batteries are dead you can get in, and you have enough spares to hand out to your parents, your brother, your dog walker, and your dentist.

98% of companies don't care. They take on insurance policies for covering themselves in the event instead of making sure things are secure.

When something happens they issue a statement from their ceo, ect.. will let someone go of say it was xyz fault then carry on.
Yeah I know most companies don't care but they usually at least pretend to care and ultimately you don't know if they're one of the ones that does or doesn't. When they don't pretend to care like Eufy then you know for 100% certainty that they don't and they don't respect their customers. If they were only one of two or three in the market then I might reconsider but since there are tons of people in this space it was an easy drop.

You must not be aware of Change Healthcare. It's ok. No one is. Because no one likes to do the hard thinking. Yea, they lost PII info for pretty much 50% of America. Will they suffer any consequences? Nope! But yea, lets poop on eufy. This is a problem that requires legislative action. Products should not be allowed to be sold that exposes peoples info so easily. Such as pre-rusted hypodermic needles. Shouldn't be and is not a product for obvious reasons. Cheap products with poor software development should also be shunned the same way we do this to other products. But we're gonna have to pull our heads out of our asses first.

I'm not trying to excuse any past transgressions, but this is a lock, not a camera. Put it on guest WiFi and call it a day.

I dont think this is a good deal, if you look at the price history, the discount is just $10. Also, 12% of the reviews are 1star which is a real concern. Reading them, there are issues with connectivity to wifi and sometimes bricking.

The claim about the battery lasting that long definitely isn't a thing for me.

I have to replace mine every 6 months. I use Energizer batteries.

Based on my experience, eufy was giving me a two seconds delay in live video. Ring gives almost no lag live video.

Eufy is the worst owing to the toy-grade lock cylinders used. All "keyless" smart locks except Yale have keyed lock cylinders which are easily defeated in seconds with universal bump keys.

Smart locks are for convenience only not for security. Only a wired and monitored security system can provide a minimal level of protection.

If burglaries are on the rise in your area as they are in most places then the deadbolt should be ANSI I not II or III and utilize a bump and pick resistant keyway. But even the best lock cylinders costing hundreds of dollars merely increase entry time from seconds to a minute or two. The only deterrence is if they know that you have a wired and monitored system.

Nothing will prevent forced entry or a smashed window however these are not the methods being used these days to gain entry. Serial burglaries by the same burglar or burglary ring are becoming commonplace. Once they know what you have they return again and again. They even lock the door when they leave. If you live in a rural area or no one is around during the day then you are at higher risk.

Burglars absolutely love wireless cameras wireless smart locks and wireless "security" systems because they are so easy to defeat.

schlage, they would be expensive compared to this though.
ANSI Grade I are most secure, ANSI Grade 3 are least secure. Always look for this ANSi rating.

ANSI grade refers to resistance to brute force attack only which is not how thieves are gaining entrance. There is no security on an ANSI Grade 1 bolt if a kid can turn the key-way in seconds after lifting the pins with a simple rake tool. None of the Schlage smart locks offer anything close to their B660 commercial deadbolt which is a very fine piece of hardware for $200. But even if upgraded to their Primus cylinder for another $150 there is still no protection only slight hindrance to gaining entry. Smart locks are for convenience only. If one can't afford a monitored wired security system then the next best investment is a high grade mechanical commercial grade deadbolt. If you're going to have a key way then don't settle for less. Is the YALE all-electronic truly keyless lock secure? I can't say.
