i thought i was verified too because i didn't see the 99 price...where it shows membership price....click on the little blue or green thing in circle next to it, it'll ask for the phone number, enter it, sends code, enter code....then the price should change...that was my case

Seeing the discounted prices, the 1TB is showing for $40 as well. Once I get to checkout it tells me "item not eligible for member pricing"... :/

If you have a Mac, this thing will NOT work at 20 Gbps speeds because you don't have a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 compatible port. You'll get 10 Gbps, same with X9 Pro.
Copy pasting my comment from previous post of this product but at BestBuy:
No Mac released to date supports USB3.2 Gen 2x2. Including machines with USB4, Thunderbolt 4, and Thunderbolt 5 ports. USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 uses two lanes of USB, while the USB4, TB4, and TB5's USB compatibility mode can only negotiate a single lane USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps).
It is also likely your non-Mac PC either have only 10 Gbps ports (USB 3.2 Gen 2) or like the Macs your USB 4 port only supports single lane backward compatibility to USB 3.2.

Getting same error. Seems like a weird way to scam people.

Seeking advice.

I was reading a deal on one of these Crucial drives last week or so. In that thread it was stated the Samsung T7 is "better", "more reliable / trusted", sort of the industry gold standard for these drives.

I see the T2 2TB Gen 2 is on sale at BB for $150. Are there different models of the T7 (like the Crucial Pro vs non-pro) where one is preferred over the other?

I have both MicroCenter and BB next to me ---

Any opinions on the preference of the T7 vs this Crucial drive?

Thanks in advance.

The T7 cord is always loose and comes unplugged very easy. Aside from that they have held up well for me.

FYI, this coupon doesn't apply directly on the SSD, you need a filler to make it over $100. And only depends if the manager honors the coupon. For some reason the coupon scan failed on this one and the manager had to override and give the extra $25 off.

T7 base version is vastly inferior to the T7 Shield (not just for ruggedness, but also speed). If you're rocking USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (lots of us are, ignore the whiners), this is obviously much better. If not, I'd get the T7 Shield.

From Microcenter support:
As of right now, we have an issue with our member pricing on our online website, the lower price will be honored in-store, we have escalated this over to our web team to have this corrected online Smilie

I got membership online, price changes to $224 in cart. I went to the store, took 2 of them to the register, after i gave them my phone number, it rang up $99 each, no questions asked!
