I've had Chase Sapphire for approximately 3 years.
When I got the card, Doordash was listed as a 1-year promotion, however that conceivably expired 2 years ago. I can say that the promo, at least for me, never ended. I use Dashpass and other promos weekly without any problem and do not pay any extra for it. So when they say "6-month minimum", honestly it's probably for the life of the partnership between those two companies.
I had a Doordash account previous to my Sapphire card and did not have to set up a second account or anything. It just seamlessly enabled when I added Sapphire as a payment method.
In Doordash, if you change the payment method away from Sapphire, it does essentially take away Dashpass benefits. But you just turn it all back on by setting the Sapphire back to the default payment.
Of course, they can change terms and how this works anytime, including now versus when I signed up so my experience might not be your experience now. But at least wanted to share in case it helped somebody.

Do I/we need TWO doordash accounts?
I did that previously with one account, switching the membership to the freedom and then later changing it back to the CSP. This was back in 2020 or 2021, so it might now work the same now.

That is not my experience. When I added Sapphire as a payment method to my existing Doordash account, it worked seamlessly. Fwiw
Same for me. Nothing
