Hello robovac novices, here is some info on this robot vacuum if you are on the fence. I have tested the Qrevo Pro, the Qrevo MaxV (this model), and also a Mova P10 Pro Ultra which is a Dreame rebrand. I have spent a TON of time on recent models and can give some advice if you need it, feel free to reply. These things are super exciting and are absolutely a game changer for a busy middle class household.
- It is identical to the other qrevo model PRO version which was on sale for $620 within the past month from Target and Amazon except it has a CAMERA on it to enhance object detection. All cleaning functions like the suction power and mopping power are the same as the pro model.
- The camera enhances object detection, but it still is not as good as the Mova P10 (dreame)
- mapping and navigation on this unit v. the Dreame/Mova brand is superior. It does not mop my carpets, it detects things as they should be. It is gentle with my furniture and can clean my entire house.
- The Mova P10 Pro Ultra /Dreame models (x40/L40) are inferior in their ability to get into all the spaces around the house that they can possibly fit into. They get confused and lost if the path changes while they are out cleaning or if the way into an area is complicated or narrow... such as if chairs are not perfectly pushed under the table. . The Qrevo models have never gotten lost or stuck in any of my testing.
- The Qrevo models have superior logic in how they clean the room and do not miss as many spots. The Mova P10 Pro Ultra has an extending spin brush but it frequently misses spots despite having that thing. I dont think it is worth having vs the quality of the roborock unit for covering a space.
- This model is pricey but lacks a few features the dreame ones have. You have to mix detergent into the clean water tank for it to use the stuff to clean the pads. The dreame/mova one adds it in on its own while washing the pads. I prefer just using water on my floors without any chemicals so if you get the Qrevo models you will need to choose to use their cleaner on your floors or forgo some of the hot water mop washing abilities. It will clean, just not as well IMO. The heat from drying should realistically kill a lot of bacteria.
At the end of the day roborock seems superior in quality. If you want a balance of both worlds try to get a Qrevo Master or Slim model. If price is a factor and you are not worried about a dog or cat crapping in your living room or your kids leaving random small legos all over, skip this MaxV one and go for the Qrevo Plus (no hot mop washing) or the Qrevo Pro (hot mop washing).
Roborock vac/mop versions are amazing compared to other brands. Yes it will go over thresholds, raised carpets, door jams, etc. Best type of vac/mop combo out there, worth every penny imo.
Weren't these down to the $600s thru Costco last year? I know I got one of the earlier Costco deals before it went even lower months laters. Or this a new plus ultra upgraded version for a new price point.
Edit: Yeah, looks like different model. The earlier QX Revo that was popular is down to $520. It's been phenomenal.
