You cannot save a cigar that has been extinguished for more than an hour or so. The tars and burnt elements dry onto the tobacco and ruin the taste when relit. Glad it works for OP, but I wouldn't buy this.

Agreed! Just to piggy back on this, I have one of these from 12 years ago and I used it a few times, but the cigar tasted horrible after saving it with a cigar saver very similar to this. When I can't finish a cigar I either 1. Just leave it 2. Cut the charred end off with a cigar cutter and save it for later that day. But not often. Option 1 is usually the way to go

Simply blower out when reliting. There are videos on YouTube to show what you need . We need more posters and less negative naceys so all can see different products. If you don't like it then that's ok ,but this is making people not post because of negative comments.

Um ok, I am just giving my experience with this item. I actually own one and don't use it anymore because it makes the cigar taste bad. Even blowing it out is not giving to change the fact that it will taste like ash and it will taste different. Sorry if my experience differs. Glad it works for you.

I understand your perspective. I try to share good deals and items that might enhance others experiences. I love cigars and buy way too many cigar gadgets. This might be good for someone that likes to save their sticks. Cigar prices are only going up. Gotta save where can. Long ashes

Might as well cut ya cigar in half then. Saving it just ruins it no way around it.
