BTN and Stardew was a stronger focus on resource management than I found a wonderful life to be.
Wonderful Life feels a lot more casual, cutesy and relationship/friendship focused than Stardew.
If you enjoy the customization, money outputting, superfarm building, resource management mechanics of stardew, you will probably be very underwhelmed here.
If you like to run around town and make friends, and the farm is a means to that end, then welcome to the pseudo dating farm Sim that is Story of Seasons.
I would also say that if you liked animal crossing, then that might be a better parallel to SoS than stardew is

Stardew is more alike to Harvest Moon Back to Nature. I believe that a lot of his game modeling was inspired by BTN.
