The enameled cast iron Dutch oven is worth the $50 on its own imo.

It's a normal enameled Dutch oven that sits inside a heating element. The Dutch oven can be removed and used as a standard Dutch oven (can go on the stovetop, in the oven, etc)

I've cooked side by side with a traditional crockpot and the food just comes so much better in this. The only downside is that it's heavy which should be obvious given that its cast iron.
