It's been a long time since I've kept up with OLED monitors. I bought the Alienware 34" DWF a long time ago and it's so good I don't see what needs to happen for me to want to "upgrade". Can't recommend OLED monitor enough.

I'm kinda disappointed in my new LG OLED. 34 inches, 240hz… just not night and day difference coming from a 34 inch VA gaming monitor from LG. The 800R curve is too much. ̶I̶ ̶p̶r̶o̶b̶a̶b̶l̶y̶ ̶s̶h̶o̶u̶l̶d̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶g̶o̶t̶t̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶s̶t̶e̶a̶d̶.̶

I got the 27" ASUS oled 240hz... IMO it wasn't worth the money for me. At the time i was gaming and it was nice but IDK if it was worth the money for the monitor i replaced.

I mainly use it for work now and it doesn't do well with small text or excel.

This one has the same 800r curve.

Well this Asus PG34WCDM uses a 800r LG W-OLED panel as well.

Since its W-OLED I assume the screen is matte? If it's glossy I may buy it.

800R curve is absolutely horrible. Very noticeable and makes the screen look smaller. Any value under 1800R is too aggressive. Whoever thought of doing extreme curving on monitors was a good idea, probably also puts an extra curve on the bill of their hats!

I found my people lol. I bought a 240hz oled monitor, and Im not very impressed either. Looks ok but more impressed with my wife's mini led monitor. Definitely not the absolute game changer for me that some people claim.

I find that hard to believe unless you're not using HDR. HDR on OLED is like the most remarkable jump in monitor tech that I've witnessed in the past 10-15 or so years. But to be fair, I have an AW3423DWF, which uses a Samsung QDOLED panel. I've never daily driven an LG OLED on a computer, but I've got to imagine the HDR experience in games has to be a night and day difference compared to a VA gaming monitor.

Some OLED monitors have very aggressive antiglare coating that diminishes the "pop" of OLED

Just don't need to go around glazing a minor jump in visual quality just because it costs a lot, that's all. It's nice, but not game changing as some try to make it sound.

It's pretty dang game changing in my experience. And I'm not usually someone to get hyped up about stuff. If anything, I'm more prone to buyers remorse than being satisfied with products.

Using an OLED monitor in SDR for regular PC stuff? Yeah, not really game changing. Using it for HDR content with proper calibration? Game changer compared to regular IPS and VA SDR monitors.

For instance, the image quality of Horizon Forbidden West on my AW3423DWF in HDR compared to my older IPS AW3418DW in SDR is simply night and day.
