Big fan of this thing, holds a charge pretty well and is super bright. Magnetic base and all the rotation options are very useful

Can anyone offer comparison against this one on Amazon? Price is about the same (after 10% coupon) and it's 700 lumen vs 500 on the Braun.

I bought one of these a few months back, and am pretty happy with it. Was going to pick up a second to leave permanently on my bandsaw. Any reason to wait for this one instead?

Yes, that is where they break. We go through lots of these, but we are hard on them. We always get the warranty, because there is like 100% chance we are going to break it within a year or two. Still, they are a great light, and if you don't drop it a bunch, it holds up well. We have 2 or 3 right now that are taped up due to a broken hinge, but they still work, just not as versatile when taped.

I have 3 of the brauns and one of the style you linked. The brauns are brighter and have stronger magnets. The one you linked has an extra articulation point but I rarely need it. The brauns are generally just heavier duty and can withstand more hits. Plus it has a replaceable battery.
I may pick up a couple more. I use them all over my shop and when I have multiple people working in my shop the Brauns are first to be grabbed.

The new ones are brighter, have USB c vs micro USB, can fold in half vs only to 90 degrees, are more compact, and seems like they are better built. They improved pretty much everything with the new design. Maybe the battery life was better with the old design but I haven't used it long enough to notice.
