So they just cobble something together, put a price on it, but take no responsibilty on whether or not they''ll work together.

I can attest to these bundles and the disclaimer. Did one of the microcenter bundles with gskill and an Asus board and couldn't get EXPO to work. Contacted Asus and they told me they couldn't help because the ram wasn't on the QVL.

Not a single xmp/expo ram kit is ever guaranteed to work at anything other than Intel/AMDs "normal" stock speed. Even then, if it's not on qvl list.... I just don't understand why this is a surprise lol

If it means even 150-200 more towards GPU you'd certainly be happier with this. Decent storage included as well. I'm not sure that I would want to buy a good GPU right this moment before 9070 is released to assess
It's not going to play anything without a GPU.
Thanks. It's been probably 15 years since I've built a computer. I saw that video ports on the motherboard and assumed that it had onboard graphics.
It has onboard graphics to display output but it's not playing any games outside of minesweeper.

Seeing how quickly the price on the November deal went up, I'm led to believe that $304 price was a mistake.
Plus, this deal has the same motherboard as the other one, which people seemed to report had issues. But I have a feeling that like you said, it would probably be fine.
Considering the 7700X bundle at Micro Center is currently $370 (historical low is $350), I'd be tempted to go for that over this (and skip the free M.2).
Unfortunately, it looks like it'll be a while before the Santa Clara Micro Center opens (this is from 1/24/2025):

If this Newegg deal were $300 again I'd be tempted.
I just got a B580 GPU, and am looking to upgrade from an i7-7700K. Still haven't seen a deal that really strikes me. Even the 7700X bundle at Micro Center was $350 a year ago; feels weird paying more now for tech that'll be a year older.
