Hand tools; anything Quinn or ICON
Tool boxes; US General and ICON are great quality and value
I also use all of their jacks and jack stands.
Their Bauer battery tools and Earthquake pneumatic stuff is good, but I'm already married into Milwaukee so I really only buy that brand to keep from having a bunch of different chargers and batteries all over my truck.
As a professional mechanic, that Quinn deal is NUTS I'm actually going to be buying multiple and duplicate socket sets. The Chrome sets are no skips so you'll never be without the correct size. I already have one 3/8 and 1/4 inch chrome set and one 1/2 inch impact set and I beat the snot out of all of them.
$180 for all three complete chrome sets (with ratchets/extensions/adapters) is a killer deal for anyone wanting a full set in decent boxes to keep everything organized.

Thoughts on the Predator genny for $600? Seems kinda luke warm but maybe I'm way off.
I'm holding out for the large tri-fuel inverter that's supposed to release this spring.

That is very YMMV. Some stores might help you out of you are an ITC member, but a lot are going to tell you to kick rocks.
Then you buy another day of sale, and return the one you got pre-sale (don't open it).

That's the way to do it. Return new item with the previous receipt.

So if Quinn socket/ratchet kits in this sale at 40% off are they worth it… or better option elsewhere if one isn't in a hurry?

There are frequently deals for Kobalt/Husky/Craftsman mechanic tool sets for around $99.

This 40% off sale is great to add specialty sockets to your collection that normally aren't included in the basic mechanic tool set.

Might be a hole over but back in the day, my local HF did have stuff piled out in the parking lot when they ran these. The store front as well as the parking lot would have pallets of items.

Can confirm, though the last time I happened on one that was actually in the parking lot may have been about 10 years ago.

100%. I saw they revealed it last Fall at SEMA. I assume we'll see it at some point this year. I don't recall seeing a price for it yet. My guess would be north of $2500, but we'll see. I missed the recent Sams Club deal on the Genmax 11000-Watt Tri-Fuel for $1750.

They get good reviews, but I feel like the Firman ones are just a much better value. Refurbs for the Firman constantly go on sale for $320 for the gas / $400 for the dual fuel, and include a 2-year warranty (vs 90 days for the Predator).

Even new, the Firman Dual Fuel is often $600 at Costco and includes a 2-3 year warranty.

cordless is for the short sighted. enjoy trying to find and/or maintaining your own battery packs in 3-5 years when they switch to a new battery attachment track and/or tech. the far sighted will choose corded for the majority of tools.

I bought my first cordless tool 45 years ago: A 3/8" Makita drill powered by a 7.2 volt Ni-Cad battery.

I have Zero regrets buying it back then and it completely revolutionized the construction industry since then.

Man, I've been eyeing that 42" tool box lately. I have the rolling 30" cart i bought like 15 years ago and still going strong except for the lid struts are shot.
Has the 42" been cheaper?
It was $50 cheaper last week. https://slickdeals.net/f/18142717-u-s-general-roller-cabinets-25-off-at-harbor-freight-starting-at-300-for-27-wide?src=SiteSearch
