The actual price is $24.99 as they added a $3 white goods disposal tax. I just bought it at Target for $26.59 (easier to return if not satisfied) and they DO NOT charge a $3 white goods disposal tax (shipped to same address in North Carolina).

anyone own the 6000 watt ceiling mounted heater?
Was thinking of installing in an insulated garage and use ann/off switch outside of it to switcvh it on if temps drop too low. Temps at the ceiling in a high garage will not be close to ground level which is where my waterheater/pressure tank is located.....
Will it keeps settings if remotely switched on/off (ie cut power)

I'm not sure what state the electronics will wake in, but I'm pretty sure you're going to need a relay to make your switching happen. You may be better off with a unit with analog controls to accomplish your goal (if they're still available.)

I already have a 240 volt relay that can handle this load. It works on zwave. Im interested in this deal, it seems like a bargain for a 6k heater

The 360 degree portable propane heaters for $34 and $40 are a great deal. Safer for inside a tent when it's 360 degrees, as opposed to one side of it being very hot.
I don't know if it matters, but I called and was told all items are UL approved. I paid the extra $1.99 for 2-years warranty, something I rarely do because I've never heard of this brand before.

If you don't trust a random company I believe you can lookup online if an item is UL listed. Forgot which website their database was on.

Any idea how long 2- 1 lb tanks would last with this? I don't see it listed.
Apparently nobody here has seen the youtube commercial for the ToastyHeater that is barely larger than a electrical socket faceplate that can heat up a room from 60 to 75 degrees in less than an hour!! After all you know his is true because it was invented by a NASA engineer who was tired of people getting ripped off. How do they get away with that crap?

Is this the same commercial they show at 2:00am, when viewers are p*ssed tight and gullible as a mother scratcher?
