Because it's the year of the snake and Uranus is in retrograde, providing amd chips more horsepower and torque over intel chips. Let me know if you need further info. I've built a few pc's back when I was younger so I'm an expert.
Because AMD doesn't require you to replace your MB every other year, just 'cause you wanna replace your CPU.
Wish they would bring back the 425 7800X3D combo lol I know it will never happen again

as a semi-casual gamer is the 7800X3D worth the $100 more than the $499 9900x deal? i have a 4070ti super gaming at 1440p. upgrading from the 5600.

my gaming consist of maybe playing the first 2-3 hours of a game and being bored until the next thing interest me

yes, the 7800x3d has way better 1% lows and micro stutters. It's the second best gaming processer in the market. 9900x is great as well for gaming but meant for productivity.

I'm in need of upgrading my aging, LGA 1150 i5-4690k desktop since Windows 10 is going to be retiring soon; what would be the best value/match for the following that I think are still usable: Case: Fractal Design Focus G PSU: Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro GPU: Zotec RTX 2060 12GB twin fan Storage: 2x SATA SSDs (which prob "slow" relative to a lot of modern m.2 but fast enough for me) I don't do much PC gaming but do like to have something capable for some of the major releases (still fire up games dating back as far as Half-Life to Witcher 3 from time to time). Or would I be better off waiting...? I don't plan to re-built until summer so not sure if it's better I wait (don't know if summer prices would be better vs worse than winter prices).
The 7700x bundle with a 9070 or 9070xt GPU.

I snagged this deal. I was originally going to go with the 9700X Bundle, but I decided to go with a more expensive bundle to future proof the mobo. The Gigabyte B650 has PCIe 5.0 for ssds only, not GPUs. Totally fine for almost all GPUs out now but if I want to upgrade later I don't want to be limited in what I can buy by my board.

Decided to get the 9900X bundle with the MSI X670E, and was tempted to FUTURE PROOF EVEN MORE with the X870E but I'm already spending a lot of money.

We just moved to GA, looking at this deal on their site I just learned there's a store an hour away from us. A bit of a haul but that's pretty cool, I can finally go see what all the fuss is about.
I'm overdue for a PC refresh, might get a bundle from them soon.

Is an hour a "haul"?
My commute is an hour to 2 hours depending on traffic… also 2 MicroCenters within an hour, I'll drive to the further one just to save money on tax in NJ (also not having to go near/into NYC is always a plus!!!)

But yeah MC stores are pretty cool, it's worth a trip, just computer shit everywhere… kinda reminds me of computer fairs back in the olden days 🙃

It's a haul to me on my day off. I'm just glad there's one I can go check out.

Not possible to know
They change frequently
Will the new processors push prices down?
Will tariffs push prices up?
Will there be any changes in supply /demand?

Usually eventually they will repeat deals

Seems like a good deal. Is the 9900X worth it over the 9700x for an everyday workstation? Nothing too demanding.

How much hotter does this chip run than say a 9700x? I see an eco mode is an option as well.
