I don't advocate for buying batteries separately because Ego prices them so high. Even on sale this $200 battery and charger is only $80 less than getting a 650cfm blower as well.

The generic Amazon batteries are a much better deal if you have to buy them separately. As long as you can read Amazon reviews properly (through the paid/AI BS ones) you can tell what is actually legit. It probably the same factory anyhow..

I think I am done with EGO after 5 years..for obvious reasons. Unless there are indeed aftermarkets like DeWalt etc, the ROI is just not good. 3 out of 4 including the lawn mower are dead. Now I have 4 lawn tools that are useless.
