Hi these specs seem pretty legit for the price. Screen resolution may be a deal breaker for some.

They also have open box available starting from $675:

I generally like Asus but I have the model just below this and I get a blue screen at least weekly, generally driver issues. Windows 11 isn't great and might be at fault but I'd still be wary.

Yeah, I will pull the trigger if it comes with a 3k screen...

I have a slightly lesser version of this that I picked up over black friday. Mine has the Core Ultra 7 155. Overall I've been really happy with it so far. I mostly use it for office type productivity using an external monitor but am constantly using the laptop screen as well. It took a little tinkering with text display and getting used to the screen, but I don't really notice the lower resolution as much as I thought I would. Overall I would definitely purchase again. I need to stop being lazy and pick up a 32 gb ram module to up mine to 40 gb which should make it a great machine for the next couple of years for me.

Damn nice price! To the tech heads more up-to-date than I am, question:
This or the MicroCenter S16 OLED flip, for $100 more??

[EDIT]: If it helps, this will primarily used for GRAPHICS work (MAYBE some video editing), web browsing, movie watching, and web conferences.

Which S16 OLED flip? Microcenter has no such laptop.

The Zenbook S seems like it's better in all respects except for a slightly less powerful GPU (integrated) than the 3050 in this one...and the 10-key pad on this one that I use a lot. Well and that the Zenbook gets hot according to 90% of the buyers.

Any reason to get this one over that one (which appears to not be over $900 in Excellent Condition)?

I ended up getting the zen book excellent condition the resolution is 3k touch screen. I can't handle 1080p when it comes to productivity anymore.

Seems p good, and you can upgrade the RAM to 40GB according to reviews. The OP says "24GB (16GB on board + 8GB SO-DIMM) DDR5 5600 MHz RAM" but the reviews say it's the other way around (8GB soldered, 16GB SO-DIMM). Same with the specs on their website: https://www.asus.com/us/laptops/f.../techspec/

Would have been nice if it was 3K like others have said. But if you were planning on running the 3K screen with 150% DPI scaling, the effective resolution would be the same. (I wouldn't, but I know there are people who leave it at 150% or 200% vomit)

Checks all the boxes otherwise: OLED even though it's only 1080p 60Hz, dGPU, upgradable RAM, 2x M.2 2280 slots...

Yup, you're right. I stand corrected. The one from MC is NOT a flip.

That said, for the record, I decided to forego this one and purchased the S16. The S15 for this price is decent.. BUT! Couple things killed it for me: a 60 Hz OLED in 2024/2025?!? And "only" 24 GB RAM. Lastly, real estate: a 15" or 16" OLED. For $100 more I figure the S16 would - and will - last me a long time!
