Wow, sweet, $59 is a great deal!

**checks travel prices**

$390 seems to be significantly more than $59...
These are always a joke.
I feel like the only $59 flights in these are from Denver to Colorado Springs which you can drive in less time than it takes to get through security in Denver. I have no idea why anyone would take that flight

How the heck do you utilize a one-way flight when you are most likely going to go back home?
Since it's illegal to buy two one-way flights, you have to walk home. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

These sales only apply to transients who take trips solo to random places and never return.

They do exist, just maybe not for your airport & destinations.

Southwest isn't like American, Delta, etc. in that flights tend to be cheaper round trip. There's no real benefit of round trip for SW outside of a single confirmation number. To get the best deals for SW, you sometimes have to patchwork these things together to get the cheapest flight.

Also, their super low one way flights are generally going to be road trip replacements (5-7 hour drives). Helpful if you need it, but not always the case. On occasion though, they'll have cheaper flights to further away places or you could potentially patch together two cheaper flights to get to a destination you want. Its more work and time traveling and in airports (ex. 2 hour flight, 2 hour wait at airport, another 2 hour flights), but would save you money.

Just rebook the flight and choose the new lower price, Southwest has no change fees.

I love Southwest. Going to PHX from Oakland for spring Training next month. My original round trip flight cost 260 and I kept checking and they lowered the price to $150 R/T. Just rebook and select the same flight at a lower price.

I flew 4 times on Southwest last year just on points. Also went to NOLA two weeks ago on points and got a free companion fare for my girlfriend.

no baggage fees, no change fees. I love SWA

Log into your account, find your flight, choose "change", select the same dates as your existing trip, and then check if your existing flight has a difference in price. If it is less, select it and book like you originally did and you'll get that value back as travel credits (that don't expire).

This used to be the normal price for few intra California routes and the deal used to be $30. Fattening up their profits and passing this off as a "deal"

Times have changed, it used to be $29 each way 20 years ago or more.. Prices do increase over time.

I'm talking about 2023. I used to very frequently travel on weekdays and have booked multiple tickets up to three months out for $29 or roughly 1100 miles.
