PSA for every time this deal comes up: After each use, flip the cloth and use the other side to get more mileage out of it.

It did show $9.99 for me, but the $10 off 2, $3 off and 15% S&S got it down to $6.98 for 2.

A quick search for generic versions shows similar or cheaper as their everyday price.

For example https://a.co/d/hnJHa8s is 0.13$ per unit, same as the Swiffer dry refill on sale. There are several that are cheaper if you buy in bulk. For example, https://a.co/d/9ppLVBE is only 0.05$ or 0.08$ per unit.

I used to buy the Swiffer wet and dry refills a lot. They're convenient. But over time, I felt guilty about throwing the single use products. Further, it was more expensive because it takes so many to clean a large area.

My hack was that I bought generic microfiber towels (12x12 inches) in bulk. And started using it instead.

If I'm cleaning the whole house, I go thru around 12 microfiber towels. I throw them all in a wash cycle and line dry them. They become a bit hard in texture in subsequent washes but they do clean well. If you choose to use dryer to dry these, do not make the mistake of using dryer sheets with microfiber because the sheets coat the clothes and reduce the absorption power of microfiber material.

You can use them as it is for dry sweeping. If you want to mop with them, make a spray bottle of your homemade cleaning solution (85% distilled or tap water, 10% vinegar, 5% any commercial cleaning solution) and either spray the microfiber towels or spray the floor directly in case of tough stains. if you have wooden floors, use diluted Bona for hardwood or some such product.

Infact I personally reuse the old Swiffer refill container to soak the microfiber towels in the solution when I'm about to mop. Because of high water content, I try not to leave them as it is in the close container for long.

The microfiber towels are almost endlessly reusable. They start looking tatty because they never look as bright and spotless as they were originally. But it's just aesthetic. It doesn't change their functionality.

Hope this helps.

I see there is a hack to be able to reuse the bottle of cleaner by heating the lid in hot water. I've heard it will end up leaking because the gasket seal is broken. Amazon sells extra lids for the bottle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...M8922&th=1 Has anyone who has used the hack had a problem with the cleaner leaking after reusing the bottle? Are these extra lids needed?

What an absolute shit show actually getting these. I recently saw a post on reddit about how these are one of the most commonly damaged items in transit. What do you know, my order was never delivered. Saw the driver and he said the package was damaged. They issued a replacement order and same thing happened. They keep getting damaged in transit.

No matter how much the swiffer containers are sealed, the cleaning liquid seems to leak out no matter what. And that juice soaks and deteriorates the Amazon box. On my last order I was surprised that the Amazon driver thoughtfully called me and asked if I wanted to accept it or not.

Yeah that is my nightmare. Thanks for the heads-up.

Buying two of these increases that likelihood of liquid escaping, and mixing with my other S&S items, or having my entire package delayed or undelivered.

I'll pay a bit extra to get these later as separate items.

Been doing this but by the time I flip it over the cleaning solution within is all gone / dried up. Anyone know of a cheap DIY hack for making the cleaning solution so it doesn't leave streak marks like this product?
I supplement the flipped side with a hardwood floor cleaner from a spray bottle.
