Why would someone want to buy this watch? It's not cheap, it's not stylish, it's not like your friends would know you pay so much for it.
Kek. Sub $1,500 for a brand name mechanical watch is cheap homie. Oris is a solid yet low cache brand in the horological world.

I'd never buy a watch with an integrated strap like this one. It's very challenging to find replacement straps.
I bought an Oris with a strap like this about 20 years ago. Still have it and looks like new. Why in the hell would you need to find a replacement strap? Do you have acidic skin or something?

A true dive watch needs stopwatch feature and the depth feature, otherwise, just a watch.
Tell me you don't know anything about watches without telling me you don't know anything about watches.

Well, pick your poison: Pay more than half off for the watch and use Watchmaxx's 2 year warranty or pay full retail from Oris and use their warranty for 5-10 years. The choice is rather clear here...
I agree... just stating the facts that someone said it has a warranty and it actually doesn't from Oris. Also Watchmaxx is notorious for being a PIA to do warranty work. Having a basic ETA or Selitta can help you if you have a local repair shop as they are easy to fix.

A dive watch? Try reading face at 50 feet in Californias notoriously cloudy water. Bahamas maybe. Enjoy

Because Oris is a respected brand in the watch community and they make nice stuff for those of us who care. But if you want a watch to get your friends' approval, maybe it isn't for you. That said, you don't sound like you own a Rolex or Omega anyway.

Nope, I like smartwatches.
But what does this watch do better than cheaper watches to justify the cost?

It's like you're comparing a Rolls Royce to a Toyota. The Toyota will get you to where you are going, but the Rolls Royce will get you there in style. đź’µ

Oris 400 caliber is in-house is a freaking disaster. Horrible movement. Inefficient…ruining our of juice, requiring hand wound. Minute hand issue.

This is an awesome watch but I've had several issues when I bought watches thru WatchMax that took forever to get fixed. I won't buy from them again. Buyer beware.
