If you want something just for media consumption, it's fine for that --- but if you plan on doing anything else with it, I'd look for anything not Amazon branded.

You can install the fire tv toolbox, but it interferes with the tablet's software update. Nobody figured out how to hack the tablet and put in the stock android properly since 2019 version of the tablet I think.
No, not bathocera. You can install emulators though. Up to PS1 emulation. Maybe a few few PSP, N64 and Dreamcast games.
