It looks like the reps were pretty active on that thread. Some damaged products in the last page.
Wondering if anyone can highlight the differences between this one and the Osaki A.I. Envy 3D Massage Chair from Costco. I get the Costco one is more expensive but the peace of mind from their delivery and return policy is worth it to me as long as the chairs are relatively on par. From my research I've heard the Maestro is the best bang for buck of the Osaki chairs. Someone help me make up my mind!

I'm not expert but I've been looking at these chairs as well.
The costco Envy chair is a new chair, i think it might be exclusive to costco. A dealer who was answering questions for me told me it was a great chair and that often he can beat costco but in this case, that chair for 2400 is a great deal and encouraged me to buy it if it fit what I wanted.
I think the chair in this post is a higher end 4d chair but it's probably an older model getting phased out hence the lower price.

Some things in general that I've learned that may help others shopping for these nassage chairs:
The cheap ones on amazon from brands like massamax and bestmassage etc.. they look like a killer deal but if actually look at the specs they aren't much cheaper than a good price on a reputable brand, and saving a few hundred is great but if you need a part after your warranty expires and you got the chair from a reputable dealer or ypu got an osaki or other top tier brand, you'll likely find a phone number for someone who will talk you through diagnosing the part and then sell it to you. If you get it from Amazon those cheap companies are not likely to take care of you, if you call a reputable company they also won't want to spend time helping you figure out what's wrong with your cheap Amazon chair. - but if you're up for the risk, the chair may well work great and there are some good deals out there. For me it's worth a few more bucks.
Also the retail prices are always inflated and crazy, you are best served to talk to dealers as sometimes they can offer really good prices.
I am most likely going to get a Bodyfriend falcon SV chair. Bodyfriend is a South Korean company who is very high end and design focused, it's a bit more than I wanted to spend but the legs move independently and it can do a bunch of stretching which I'm excited about, it also looks better and has a smaller footprint.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from costco, the upside is the return policy and you know you'll get a good deal, might not be the best deal but you won't get ripped off.
The upside of a dealer is that although they won't have the return policy of costco they're likely be better at helping find a part down the road after warranty expires.
Also incase anyone needs a refresher on 3d vs 4d - 3d moves and is adjustable on 3 axis up down left right in out - 4d is that but also it moves at different speeds and usually is more adjustable in general. -apparently they just feel a little more like human massages - but they're both great.

Also it is one of the very few chairs that will fit through a typical 2668 interior door (openings typically are 29.5" with door removed from hinges) which the vast majority bedroom doors are. Many will put these in living rooms where it just needs to fit through an entry door which are typically 3068 doors (openings typically are 35in).
It's also a 4d mechanism with a lot of adjustability. I only found one other 4d in this price range and it was a fujiiryoki from costco that I ruled out because it didn't have auto leg extensions which means that in the stretching modes it doesn't work well on the legs, and the leg massage modes will be difficult to relax the calf as there's spring pressure pushing up at your feet, plus that Calm+ fujiiryoki chair from costco is pretty ugly, other than that the only 4d chairs in this range were from Massamax and other I-rest affiliated cheap chairs, which look like a killer deal until you read reviews and see that those things look like all specs are inflated, adjustability and user interfaces are pretty lame, and the retailers often don't help when something goes wrong, so no thanks I will stick with brands like Osaki and either dealers who will help with after sales service, or costco who blindly accept returns - but costco's deals aren't great in this price range at all, they have the AI 3d envy but looking at the specs it's lame compared to this OS-4d Encore and this chair is $600 less, plus free easy returns at costco is great but if i have a problem down the road I'd much rather just call the dealer and get a part.
This chair doesn't have as many air bags as some of the other ones I was looking at and there aren't as many massage auto modes either, but in my deep dive I have found that many reviews talk about how some of the chairs with a ton of massage modes seem like they really aren't very different from each other and having adjustability is more important. The air bags seem to help more with pinning you in place so the massage functions don't just push you out if the chair, and there's some nice squeezing but this chair has 26 which i think will be enough.
I called clearance chair before placing the order. They were super friendly and helpful and i learned a few things:
These chairs have a lot of moving parts but in general they're pretty robust, he said the biggest call back was that these chairs with the automatic leg extension can get damaged if they're not done with the cycle yet so the legs are pulled in as they would be for a shorter person, and the person steps off, putting their weight on it before it's extended out all the way, that can damage the leg rest module and if that happens it can cost a couple hundred for the part, but other than that he said they're very robust and don't see a lot of issues. Another dealer told me something similar and both said that the chair in a residential setting where it's getting used twice or three times per day should easily last for 10 years or more before having any issues.
They also helped me compare different models and seemed very honest and fair in their comparisons even with some that weren't available through them.
They also mentioned that this chair is more on the deep massage scale vs gentle, tiny me that's perfect but may not be for everyone.
So far clearance chair seems like a great vendor although I'm early in the process and have only interacted via phone and made an order, but I see they were active on these forums for past deals too.
they quoted me $250 but said it can add 1-2 weeks extra to the delivery date.
Ha! Alright let's hope it's awesome. I did learn from some comments on you tube videos that this chair was sold as recently as a year ago on costco road shows for $4k.
Also I've seen a few different comments talking about how it gives a pretty strong massage, i usually like that but I'll a bit nervous until this thing arrives.
Also as I have been continuing to look around at the marketplace I think that this is DEFINITELY a killer deal for $1800, but that also it is an older model and the remote and the level of adjustability may be a little old school and that may be the reason it's getting phased out, personally I dislike touch screens so I'm not sad about not getting one, i just hope it's an awesome massage. The one chair that I wonder if i should have gotten instead (or not, it depends on which minute you ask i keep going back and forth) is the Osaki dreamer 2 from osaki website directly it is $2500. It has 3d not 4d so a step down there, but a ton of air bags which could be awesome, but for $700 more than this and it's only 3d, maybe this still is the better deal.
By the way I also learned that clearance chair is part of Osaki, I had thought it was a seperate company that was a retailer but it's actually directly Osaki, which makes me feel a little better too just because it's obviously legit.
Anyway, let's hope these chairs are totally awesome
All in all, I'm feeling good about it. Will let you know how it goes, just need to wait about 2 weeks for delivery.

I think the coupon codes for clearance chair come from clearance chair directly. Clearance chair is a part of Osaki, I think it's a marketing team that moves the chairs that are being discontinued which is a quite a few - they have a ton of models, some are exclusive to particular retailers and some aren't but just go to Osaki websiteand look at all chairs, list by price you can see similarly equipped models and it's sort if wild there are just so many.
If you look at the prices on clearance chair they seem like they're a little higher than directly from osaki website, I wonder if they have slightly higher retail prices but then offer coupon codes to slick deals and maybe other places and that's how they clear out models at lower prices without upsetting their retail partners around the county who would hate to have their own customers Google Osaki website and see lower prices than they're able to do. -A win for whomever is lucky enough to see the coupon codes and a win for Osaki who doesn't want to hang on to old stock and watch it's value decrease by the day.
I don't know if that's true but it's what it seems like to me.
Either way $1800 sure seems like a killer deal for a chair that usually goes for at least double that and often more.
