I see there are a lot of naysayers. I bought a set like this (same plastic molds so probably the exact same guts). They work well. I also bought a $150 set and didn't seen a noticeable difference. I decided to keep the cheap bluetooth ones.

That said a year later we got some $350 rode ones with onboard memory and 32bit recording depth in the transmitters. Those are a bit better, since they have enough dynamic range that they are less prone to clipping.

If I were to do it over again I'd still get the $10-$20 set. It's good enough.

Get what you pay for. There's a reason why good ones of these are hundreds of dollars. Just be aware.

Agreed, I bought a set of these in the past and they are complete trash. Don't waste your money no matter how good the deal is.

I agree. I have 2 of these... not these exactly, but like these. I bought them two years apart, so definitely different. I think that the quality is amazing for what you get. If you don't mind some audio fine tuning post production, it can sound AMAZINGGGGG!

If you can only spend that much you are better off with whatever your built-in microphone is or you could consider a wired option instead.
I assure you that the ones I have used are FAR better than a built in mic or wired. I don't think we can be sure which ones or what guts the ones you had are using. But it's pretty clear people have had good results with this "style" of lavalier mic.

Maybe you should link the specific garbage ones you used so everyone can avoid JUST those instead of hating on everyone that had good luck with similar units.

Help vs hate, just appreciate LOL!

This is the specific one that worked well for me, as you can see they look to be same or similar hardware for what it's worth.

I just wish you could get a standard Bluetooth lavalier microphone for reasonable price that doesn't need a dongle to plug in
