Didn't know Samsung made laptops, leave alone ultrabooks. This is a great deal if there are no major cons

Why do you think it's a good deal? Specs are mediocre. For this price it should be better or have more updated specs like lunar lake. BTW this series has been plagued with heat issues resulting in poor real world battery life.

I disagree with this take. I paid almost $700 last year for a GB3 i5/16/512 on Amazon and not even a touchscreen. That was decently popular deal. Samsung laptops have been holding strong prices since the pandemic and I even have access to EPP/EDU and check prices daily. Must mean they sell at that price. This stuff is my hobby and I have not had a better feeling laptop quality wise than their ultrabooks.

I got my gb3 pro last year for about 550. I returned it because fan was constantly on and I couldn't do better than 3-4 battery life. Beautiful laptop otherwise. With touchscreen, I suspect battery life to be even worse.

I really like Samsung laptops as well.
They had amazing colors with Samsung Flex 2 line. I hope they keep coming with those colors because Samsung display quality, and chassis build are usually much better than Acer-LG etc. Asus seem to be doing better lately so I may go with that as well. Samsung laptops like this one seem to be capped with 16 GB ram which doesnt sound future-proof to me. I guess it is fine for now but in 3-4 years the RAM may be a bottle neck.

These are great but the line has a screen issue where it just cracks. My son has one of the original ones and it cracked on him. I bought this open book at BB, but will return it because of the screen cracking issue which you can find info online.

Over 1k after tax, 2tb makes more sense. It is not the same Samsung I used to know, some parts are made in China.

I'm not a fan of Samsung electronics. They don't last.
