Just some food for thought: we used to own all three sizes in their Ltd2 series, but we didn't find we used the smaller ones often enough to justify keeping them (especially the 8"). We ended up giving the 8" & 10" away and getting a 10"ish carbon steel that we use regularly instead. We find it more convenient to have the alternative material. The carbon steel has largely replaced our non-sticks too.
Pricing looks the same as the sale in December. I really like the D3 12" fry pan I bought then so I am adding an 8" & 10"

This is not true. Yes, you can get t-fal that use a clad base, but they are in the upper price range. An entry level t-fal will warp like its play dough. An entry level All Clad has a much thicker base so it is usable in a lot more cooking situations.
I'm talking about the Teflon coating, it's just as bad as Walmart non-stick pans.

I see a lot of posts but nobody emphasized this from the website:
Please read carefully! The products which are for sale on this site are FACTORY SECONDS. They have minor cosmetic scratches and/or dents.
I've bought 6 items over the years from these sales and they've always looked brand new. It's not guaranteed but I think open box returns probably end up in this sale as well.

Can anyone confirm the finish on the
8-Quart D3 Stockpot with Lid / Stainless - Second Quality ?
Is it brushed (BD3) or polished (SD3)? The picture looks brushed, but there's no mention anywhere in the description one way or the other.
Thanks!

I received a set of the copper clad (c2) for my wedding 28 years ago today... I have had zero issues so far with that set. Highly recommend as a buy it for life set.

It is may not be emphasized (other than the fact, it is in the title and first line of the deal post), probably because these All Clad sales are posted and discussed so frequently here, it is assumed everyone understands that.

I don't think they make brushed d3 often unless its collective/curated but I don't think they have collective/curated in that size. Only way to know is call or email them, I would bet its polished.

Sucks they jacked the price on the SD5/BD5 stock pot this time around, got it for like $80ish I think last sale lol

What's the difference between the two? Is it just cosmetic?

Thanks. I have an email into them asking for clarification, but I was hoping someone here perhaps has purchased this and could confirm.
I'll edit this post if/when they respond.
I'd prefer the SD3, as to match my CC collection as much as possible...not forking out for a CC stock pot!

Yes. The exterior stainless finish is either polished or brushed.

Thanks! I ended up stumbling on the D3 version of the 8 quart stock pot for $122 after discount code, jumped on that instead

Bought:

3-Qt. Sauce Pan W/Lid / Copper Core - Second Quality

2-Qt. Sauce Pan W/Lid / Copper Core - Second Quality

How did I do?

Debating if I should buy anything else. We use Caphalon Classic as our core cookware set and are pretty happy with it.

Yeah, I saw that listing as well, which is what prompted me wondering if the $99.99 one I linked was the brushed version (the pic looks different).
I realize the $149.99 one you linked is also 'packaging damage' and not 'second quality,' but the price difference between like items is usually only $10-20, not $50.

That was exactly my path...Calphalon to All-Clad CC. Those are both solid pieces to start. My most used is the 12" skillet...4-5 days/wk. They have these sales quite regularly, so try not to get fomo. I've bought all my CC from them, in a few phases. For me, Calphalon had it's place, when I was younger, but I'll never go back to AL cookware.

They have a 3 qt collective copper core 30 cheaper, I got it and the 1.5 one last sale, they are beautiful pots with the chunky handle. Both said no lid but they each came with one when I bought them last sale lol

They have a steamer insert for $40 and I would buy the 4 quart sauté pan

No, All-Clad non-stick are absolute garbage no different from T-Fal and such.
Not true if you use them properly. All depends on your technique. Much prefer these, so easy for clean up and have always been totally nonstick for me.
