Worse, they converted my phone status in their system to dishonestly show "owned by Xfinity with a $650 balance due" WTF!@!. They admit to my original ownership but have come up with an insane theory that they obtained title to my phone by offering trade-in value even though I declined their offer and never accepted any device from them in trade-in
UPS tracking shows the handset upgrade never delivered with proof of Xfinity receiving the refused item and signed for back at their warehouse.
As I'm typing I'm stuck on hold another 56 minutes. Xfinity had the audacity to network-LOCK my phone and create a false debt $650 past due. Let's repeat that. Bring your personally owned device to Xfinity and they LOCK it remotely without your prior knowledge or consent and without providing anything of value to you.
My S10+ was listed for years under devices in my account as a BYOD device and not in contract. A few weeks ago Xfinity offered $600 trade-in value toward the full list price of a Galaxy S24 FE ($650). Best Buy offers it outright for $500 brand new unlocked.
How the Xfinity Scam works: Instead of giving trade-in value after receiving the traded-n device which was an S10+ the Xfinity scam was to keep my phone, pay me nothing for it, and only give me 24 monthly bill credits of $28 to "offset the 24 x $30 monthly payment for an S24 FE to be sold for $659 which is $150 above FNV.
This is a con job to create in essence a 24 month service contract where none exists or should exist. There is no option to pay off the S24 early. They keep your "trade-in" phone and give you nothing for it. How about I cut my S10+ in to 24 pieces and mail in one piece every month to obtain the promised "trade-in value" as monthly credits?

your bad for not reading or understanding the agreement.
typical Android phone user, SMH.
If you're switching, then don't worry about the 2nd line ... yet. As long as you live in an area where Xfinity/Comcast has reliable service (save the negative comments; pretty much every telecom in the US sucks when it comes to customer service/satisfaction) this is a good deal for US pricing.
For example, I'm nearing then end of my 1200 Mbps 2 year contract for $80/mo. I also use Xfinity mobile extensively. I have 5 lines on shared data at $20/mo per 1 Gb data used, and 2 lines at 'unlimited' for $40/mo . Given that this is an MVNO where any calls or data done with wi-fi calling don't count, my 5 lines rarely go over the 1 Gb per month.
So get the internet and single line, and then you can get more lines after. You can either buy a phone through them or bring your own if the phone is compatible.
The service in my area (Chicago) is really good. When not on wi-fi it is the Verizon network which has the best coverage by far.
