I have a few sofrin, I'm not impressed. This price is decent, but consider some that are even less expensive. Certainly $35 seems ridiculously expensive
Can you name some alternatives.

Buy with confidence. I have 20 Sofirn lights. They are great for the money.

I have had 3 Sofirn flashlights. All were dead within a year. I would save your money for something better.

lol. lots of sofirn hate in this thread. i have a half dozen of them and they get absolutely beat on and they are still going strong. in fact i dont think a single one has failed outside of the cheap-o headlamp mounts that are boarderline disposable.. pretty sure every flashlight communinty, including reddit, candlepower, and blf regards them as solid flashlights for the price.

these light sucks same goes with energizers , when powering high mode, it doesn't stay on for more then 30 seconds, it automatically powers down and your constantly fighting the power button just to have it on high mode ... smh
Most flashlights do this for thermal and voltage protection.

If it's voltage, a better battery will help.
The larger the flashlight, the more heat it can dissipate. The more batteries or larger batteries, the less voltage throttle.

Yea it powers down so the board doesn't fry. This is common for small flashlights with little heat sinks.

First the price is not $35 it is $22. Second please tell us what you are not impressed with. I have a few and have the exact opposite experience. I am super impressed with value versus cost and know of no other maker that gets near it. Fit, finish build, use and performance are all top notch at almost unbelievable prices when your can catch one on sale like here or even at regular price.

You vagueness and lack of specifics and even almost deceptive wording to make it appear the light here costs more then we can see in the deal makes me question your motivation in trying to sour a good deal for a good product for people that may be interested.

The fact that you offer no alternative also says much. You inform about nothing or offer any specifics but just offer vague general dislike. What use is that to anybody?

Here is an in depth review please tell us what exactly with this light you find disappointing or not impressive. Where can we get a thrower with this output and build quality cheaper? Where is a less than $22 light with a SFT25 emitter that throws 396 meters?

That is becoming common in almost all deals they get swarmed with people that do not want or have the product but trash it nevertheless. The crowd here is not what it once was it all is about feelings and stuff.

OP...please correct your post. There's a BIG difference in the SP60 versus the SR12 in your pic and linkk shows. The SP60 is a large multi-cell thrower (think big MagLite style light and not the small light in your pic and link. It would be a very slick deal to get an SP60 under $40.
EDIT: As for Sofirn lights and high power led lights in general...I have a few Sofirns that i've had for several years and they still work fine. Yes the ui can be a pain to figure out and yes the high power ones will only be able to sustain high/turbo modes for brief periods before they throttle down to avoid overheating. But both issues are common with most, if not all, high lumen/high power led flashlights regardless of brand.
