You don't even have to buy anything. You can just present your certificate and they will give you the full amount in cash.

I always cash it out and pay for my costco purchases with credit card since I get the cash back on it.

I've got costco 2% check to use, can I use it online or only store? Need to use it up as I am not renewing membership.

They force you to buy something at my location. You then have to walk over to returns and return the random item.

Edit - You can use it only in stores. You can use your 2% Reward Certificate to purchase most merchandise at Costco warehouses.
To use your 2% Reward Certificate towards a purchase on Costco.com, you can buy a Costco Shop Card with your reward at a warehouse. You can then use the Costco Shop Card online.

This has not been my experience, as recently as a month or so ago. I had to take my certificate to the customer service desk where they put it on a Costco Shop card which I could use online.

Might vary by state law, though. I'm in NC.

That wok for 20 bucks is incredible value. It was already at MSRP but this sale makes it even better. It has wok, lid and turner and all of them are very good quality and are induction ready.

Only thing I hate is - wok is quite heavy and with food in it, tossing will be PITA.

Got it. Thanks for your information. I will edit my post. I am confused between Citi Costco card annual rewards and Costco's 2% reward.

Below are notes from Costco:

You can use your 2% Reward Certificate to purchase most merchandise at Costco warehouses.

At my local warehouse yes. Sometimes I make things with skin, so having that is nice, but when I don't, it does take a bit of work to remove it myself (not fun). The skin can be fried for yummy treat and/or be rendered lard so it's not a complete waste.
