Life is dangerous and something as simple as automobile driving has terrible risk that you put on yourself and others. I fail to see your point. A typical house has multiple systems that can kill you with no real safety built in. If you are typing on laptop it can explode and set fire to your house. You smoke alarm wiring can do the same. People die from the consumption of water and the list can go on and on. How alarmed are we all to be about the everyday dangers of life and why would this one need pointing out more than the much larger ones that we face everyday?

IIRC, the longer hose (don't have the part number memorized) allows you to forgo the filter, which is what I use to run 20lb tanks.

Was worth the xtra $ IMO. Obv YMMV.

Good price, but get the hose with the filter, or add a filter.

". The 10' buddy hose does not contain any plasticizers or oily contaminates that will leach out of the hose during high pressure propane flow. That is why that hose does not need a filter. All of the other hoses for the buddy system will need a filter because they will contain oils and plasticizers."
