The newer AMD and Intel miniPC stuff with the 890m and ARC graphics are only marginally faster but usually double the price with the same RAM/storage. The flagship AMD AI series APU do improve graphics performance a LOT... but also only come in $2000+ Asus tablets (the Z13 Flow).
The 8845/790m is a potent combo and will run right along with the full 8000 series AMD desktop APU's but in a much smaller and more efficient package. These are a great buy right now while the madness of the current GPU market is sorting itself out if you want to roll through your back catalog of Steam / Amazon Gaming / Epic / GoG games that have been stacking up. They are also capable for media tasks, video transcoding/editing, etc..
This also has an Oculink port, and for $100 for the Minisforum Oculink dock on Amazon (plus whatever size power supply your card needs) you can connect a standard desktop GPU to this.

The Radeon 6600m also uses at least twice as much power just to run the GPU (the CPU not included) as the entire APU like the Ryzen 7 8845HS with the 780m included under full load so you are absolutely looking at more fan noise.
I do see the merit of something like this https://www.amazon.com/MINISFORUM...ow
For about $200 more you get a huge uplift in gaming performance, though you lose some multi-core performance, add a lot of fan noise and have no Oculink port so expansion into a discrete GPU of your choice later with a $100 dock plus power supply.

Because it was not mentioned on the site previously and this one is hidden inside the case.
Built in mic support could mean multiple things. A 3.5mm audio mic etc. Plus the location for that mic on the motherboard is not ideal so why it is there.
The AX210 is an upgrade to Wifi 6E from 6 only with the AX200... but are somewhat notorious for poor quality control, I'd suggest purchasing on Amazon vs Aliexpress in case you need to return/swap it to get a good one. https://www.amazon.com/REKONG-AX2...B08PBRRL9
Also for anyone curious:
- SSD in mine is a Crucial P3 Plus with heat sink.
- RAM is labeled TWSC PC5-44800
