The vast majority of modern electronics don't need sine wave. Unless you have a CPAP machine or a specific medical device that needs it, paying extra for true sine wave is a waste of money.
Got this from Costco on sale for $125 about 2 years ago, so this is a good price compared to that considering inflation.

We've only had a couple of short outages, but during those times it kept the modem, router, and home server running fine.
yeah, be sure to get a lithium replacement though, they last longer than lead acid

Or you go with another brand that costs similar but don't break down like APC. I bought a bunch of goldenmate lifepo4 ups and they've been working fine and cost $30 more only.
I've had good luck with both brands. Treat them well and they usually work ok.

No way for official
I recently had to replace mine. Same model purchased from Costco. To be honest, the "OEM" batteries that came with my UPS appeared no different than the Chinese/weird name batteries you can buy from Amazon. The ones that came with my UPS were certainly not Cyberpower brand

Good price for a 1500VA unit. I've used CyberPower for years, and they hold up well. Just make sure to replace the battery every few years to keep it running smoothly

I have had several CyberPower UPS, including this one. Got from Costco for ~$100-120 in store. The batteries only last 2-3 years, gets expensive constantly replacing batteries. I think the iRiver UPS is better, might try the lithium battery options next.

..no, traditional UPS like these are more for short-duration backup to allow sensitive electronics (i.e. computers) to shut down gracefully rather than just turn off abruptly due to power loss (which can cause data loss/corruption).

Thanks. After reading that article, that doesn't sound concerning.

I will start the not sine wave post comments. Seriously, it ain't sine wave. Would wait for those to come on sale as they do every year. Aight.
Agreed, paying $130 for simulated wave is pointless. That is reserved for the bottom of the line cheapo units that you run your ISP's equipment off since you don't care if it gets damaged.

AFAIK it requires 2 of the batteries, 12v, 9AH. they should be replaced together. ~$45 on Amazon.

That said, At this point I would go with LiFePO4 based UPS. like this one https://www.amazon.com/GOLDENMATE...B0D5QSYK69 ($160)
The expected life of the battery in this one is 10yrs, vs 3 to 5 years of Lead-Acid batteries, the downside I do not think you can change the batteries in this model.
Who said cannot change the batteries? Show me the proof?

Does this UPS automatically turn back on when fully depleted during a power outage event?

Was curious what was inside these batteries and it looks like it's 20 lithium ions batteries connected in a 4s5p configuration with no temperature safety sensors:

They do make 100ah LifePo4 batteries that use real Lifepo4 batteries in a 4s1p configuration though and it's been proven through teardown tests to have temperature safety sensors installed.
