I have the all clad set from costco for $550 but I would get these sale price $150 sets if I could do it over again and save $400. I got the all clad because I thought my bad cooking was due to cheap pans lol. Turns out you need to preheat the stainless steel pans to about 375-450F or until water droplets bead up and then add a decent amount of oil before cooking/searing. Every stove is different so get a $5 surface temp thermometer to get a feel for the temperature range for each dial setting. This taught me my stove has a 300F variance between the 4 and 5 dial numbers out of 9 ticks. If I was under 4 my food was raw and above 5 it burnt to a crisp. I was adding oil, turning up the heat to an unknown temp and then adding the meat and it would either burn or take so long and over cook. After learning this I went to try it on my old cheap stainless pans and cooked just as well as the all clad. Only thing missing from the set is an 8qt stock pot which to me is a bummer but if you don't make large batches of stuff then it's not needed.
If you prefer lips on your pots and pans for easy pouring of liquids without spillage, I would recommend Henkels. I have tried both of these sets and returned the calphalon one.
A rule of thumb, for Henkels products, you need to pick the products with a two-figure logo. At least this is true for its cutlery products. Products with a single-figure logo are its lower quality product lines.

For its cutlery products, products with a two-figure logo are manufactured in Germany and a single-figure logo are manufactured in either Spain or China.

It seems like everyone I see on YT has a hex clad set.
hexclad is all social media marketing. Not because it's good cookware. There are so many other better alternatives for cheaper.

ATK really hated hexclad in one of their reviews. Starts at 21 minutes in this video: https://youtu.be/AU3mUjIF3A8?si=k...e9T&t=1260

Calphalon Classic™ Stainless Steel Cookware "Key Features: Heavy-gauge aluminum" Really!!!
How about Oil and Vinegar, ha ha ha!!!
Aluminum and copper conduct heat better than stainless steel. Most, if not all, stainless steel cookwares have an aluminum /copper/ alloy core (one layer or multi-layer) to transfer heat quickly and evenly.

How are these vs the tramontina 3-ply set also from costco?
I have the Tramontina set. It's been a few years of use. They look new. Still flat, which is important for induction cooking. I've put them into the oven, run them through the dishwasher (I'm lazy and the dishwasher does a great job) and otherwise used them. The handles are tight too. A little Bar Keepers Friend removes any stuck on gunk. Which is rare now that we know how to use them. Pouring is fine despite the lack of a lip. Good set, I'd buy it again.

How well bult are these pans?
I can't speak for this specific set but I can tell you I bought a very similar set of Caphalon pots/pans about 17-18 years ago. They have held up This is saying something as I've had to trash so many things due to hidden toxic mold. I had to chunk cast iron skillets bc of the porosity of cast iron skillets but my stainless steel Caphalons made it. The only reason I am eyeing this set or a KitchenAid set is due to leaving my lids in a rental that I was never able to recover.

It shouldn't be hard to clean if you preheat the pan, then olive oil, then put your food in. Then it's non-stick. Also keep it below the smoke point of the oil.

Re: perhaps on a tangent here, but I have had a 10 knife Henckels set for a solid 15+ years. I bought these at costco back then. I cook frequently during the week, and have used these knives pretty regularly over this time. They're the single-figure logo, made in Spain. I've had them professionally sharpened, and now sharpen these at home on my own, perhaps every other month. They have served me quite well, and then some. I had always assumed they were German made, until this post, to where I just got up to go check.
For those reading and swearing that you 'need' the German made ones, I'd give these a try. Call it ignorance is bliss, or whatever, but I always took pride in this set and used them with love. I also always referred these to friends over the years. Im no professional chef, but Im not just some random that pokes around in the kitchen - I'd like to say I know what I'm doing. So give the knife set a shot when you see it. they're well made and contain all the different types that you would need, day to day.
