NO. For high-value or sensitive electronics (e.g., computers, home theater systems, or gaming consoles), consider a surge protector with a higher joule rating (1,000+ joules) for better protection.
Don't jump to conclusions.

Yes, Most Christmas lights (especially LED ones) consume very little power. For low-power devices (e.g., lamps, clocks, or small appliances), 600 joules is usually fine.

What about a Celeron from the 90s, it's not very powerful. 😉

Guys,
My dad came to America 50 years ago. He doesn't know English, always bought cheap power strips for us. When i gew up, my siblings and I continue to use these cheap power strips. We have never purchased any good or expensive power protectors. My brother and sisters, and I, we all have our desktops, have always purchased and used these power strips.
As a matter of fact, we don't even know what's 500 joules or 1000 or 2000 joules are. My dad's generation, myself, and now kids continue to buy/use these low budget power strips for the last 3 generations without problems.
Not to mention my brother have a few PCs and my sister also have a few for their children.
They're all using these budget power strips, and nothing's wrong with our computers, monitors, TV, printer, etc, never had problems. You might think I am the lucky one, but I am talking about 4 families, over 3 generations.
Now my children are away in college, each of them have a desktop, monitor, and a laptop. I am continue to buy these budget power strips for my kids, I rarely paid more than $5 each, cuz for the past 50 years, there's no issues whatsoever.
