Top Comments
- only the blue (Midnight) color is on sale
- some people find the straps to be too narrow and uncomfortable (strap pad solves the problem)
- I have the non-zip version of this bag in the same color, and the black paint on metal hardware is slowly chipping away

> You may be aware that an Everyday Backpack made by Peak Design was worn during the New York City shooting last week. Some of you have asked what our policies are around customer privacy, so I wanted to lay that out:
> Peak Design has not provided customer information to the police and would only do so under the order of a subpoena.
> We cannot associate a product serial number with a customer unless that customer has voluntarily registered their product on our site.
> Serializing our products allows us to track product issues and in some cases quarantine stock if a defect is found.
> The serial numbers on our V1 Everyday Backpacks were not unique or identifying. They were lot numbers used to track batch production units. We did not implement unique serial numbers until V2 iterations of our Everyday Backpack.
> If you do choose to register a Peak Design product, and it is lost or stolen, you can reach out to our Customer Service team and have your registration erased, so the bag is not traceable back to you.

TLDR: Peak Design CEO called tip line, tip line said Ok pal, you're late to the party. PD bags have serial numbers and date codes but so do your jeans and iphone.
I think this trend of stupidly high priced goods / cars is weird. I can't figure out why people buy them when they also think the systematic issues are making people poorer.

I guarantee you not every company requires a warrant. A lot of big companies do. But do not assume companies honor that, when push comes to shove.
After January 6, Bank of America allowed the FBI complete transaction access to customer accounts, without a warrant.

Probably because many cheaper goods are built like crap, and no longer a good value like they used to be. The trend of higher prices and cheaper construction is prevalent and not going away unfortunately.
I just saw jansport on clearance at Office Depot if you need one.
