That is not possible with LPDDR5X or any LPDDR memory as you always need to soldered the whole memory in the motherboard. The one you're looking for, need to have normal DDR(any version) soldered to the motherboard and connected internally with one channel from the CPU and another SODIMM slot, like in 2023 G14 or G16
Show me a thinkpad that has a better screen or CPU.

This seems to check all of the boxes for me. I understand the battery life is not great, but frankly that is pretty much a non-issue for me. I'd be using this at home for short periods for mostly coding, picture editing, some video editing. My current laptop's screen is small and dismal. Anyone have any experience with this laptop and/or thoughts I should consider?

Swift X is known to have a extra nice screen. This model has a decent CPU, regarding power. So it comes down to a RTX 4050 for $800 with a 16" 3.2K 120hz OLED screen. I think this is warm because the screen is so good and based on price and screen/cpu/gpu this price is pretty good and I will give it a thumbs up. But for this to be hot, I think I would need to be able to upgrade the RAM which you can not.

I think 32GB is becoming the new norm and I personally will not buy a laptop unless I am able to achieve 32GB of RAM.

Besides the RAM issue... I think this is a hot deal.
Here is a tear down / disassembly and upgrade options...

Just noticed this also has the 16:10 aspect ratio. I really, really like 16:10, both of my monitors on my desktop are 16:10. Nice for video editing, especially when working with 4:3 video. Getting closer to clicking...

2 of them, yes they are not too common. Both Dells. Pretty sure one of them I got as an SD special!

Great deal and the low price makes up for the low amount of ram. Awesome screen, light and compact enough, decent GPU and great CPU.
