I was able to get this down to $1820 with the 10% coupon and a c b site. YMMV
Awesome deal, Im still running my Alienware Aurora R7 with liquid cooling from like 2018. Upgraded from a GTX1080 to a RTX3070. Not a single issue with this PC. I run it for about 8+ hours a day and often max out the CPU and GPU from gaming yet ive never had an issue with overheating even when my office was 90+ degrees
16GB? Really?

Comparable custom-built PCs with an RTX 5080 and Core Ultra 7 could range from $2,200-$2,500 depending on brands and cooling.

Dell's build quality and customer support are decent, so $2,299 is reasonable, but you might be able to get a better deal with more RAM and liquid cooling in a custom build.

That customer service is in India. My mind turns into scammer mode when I talk to them.....

This is a terrible deal.

You can get a 5080 from scalper for $1400, the REST of this rig is NOT WORTH $900. It's full on garbage.

as many have stated already, this is a very slick deal only if you take advantage of the 10% coupon, 12% cashback and amex offer(up to 13%). personally i got it with 10% coupon, 12% cb, 5% amex and $200 amex plat dell credits, and dell rewards too, that's like 1500+tax for the whole rig, upgraded to 96gb crucial pro ram($200) and added a 2tb msi ssd($85), and this was probably the best deal on a 5080 desktop pc

So we should wait and have to buy another PC next year because we only planned for this year... Sounds shortsighted to me.
Happens with every generation of anything, poor people trying to convince you not to buy new stuff.

Where are you seeing the 12%cb? I'm only seeing 2% on desktops at the cb places I'm looking

It's back and forth, right now at 2%, but it sometimes popped back up, most recently two days ago

Sorry for the newb question, but can i just buy my own RAM off amazon, and then just swap the 16GB with my own 32GB (or more)? Is it as simple as that? Amazon is showing that I can get the same spec'd RAM (32GB, 2x16GB, 6400MHz) for ~$100... instead of paying $300 for the upgrade thru Dell.
Also check the community wiki for aftermarket sets that have been tested and working

Well you can't use XMP on the ram without a KF chip as far as I can see, so you are capped on ram speed without it.
The community wiki lists a RAM kit with XMP 3.0 that correctly detects in this system.

Is 16gb still good for fps shooters? Should I upgrade now or I can do it later with ease?

Agreed. I have 3 credit cards with a $50 cb deal that I can split my order between, and a 10% off coupon. Just waiting for 12% cb and I'll consider it.
