OP, this is a good deal. XC games are weird when it comes to sales: they do typically drop in price, but it can take some time, and (like most first party games) they rarely drop below 39.99 (though it does happen on occasion).

I have the US Wii U version and someone developed an uncensoring mod.
Hopefully that mod can be ported to Switch. That is said it is much harder to apply mods to Switch than Wii U.
The Japanese Wii U version is not censored but Wii U is region-locked.
My favorite of the series is XB2. (I played the Japanese version from Japan eshop)
While the graphics are a bit dated the presentation and story are really impressive.

Anyway, back on topic, hoping to grab this at $30-35 a few months out. Like some of the other other Xenoblade games, it's likely to be limited prints, so it will stop being sold at retail prices at one point or another. Then you'd only have 3rd-party sellers at that point or buy digital.

Basically they are following the same approach as Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore.
The Japanese version of FE Encore adopted all the censorship in the US Wii U version.
I suppose it is cheaper to port just one version instead doing two different versions which is likely the reason.
The censorship in FE Encore is even worse as it greatly affected the plot in addition to making some outfits look really weird as a result.
Compare to FE Encore the censorship on XBX is not as bad. Still some of the outfits look a bit unnatural after the censorship. So I highly prefer the modded uncensored version.
Just like Yuji Horii (creator of Dragon Quest) complained, there is so much censorship in the west from both the left and the right that he has to make a lot of unnecessary changes to his original design that was totally acceptable more than 30 years ago. He actually didn't want to make those changes himself but was forced to.
