My brother in Christ, only one person came into this thread preaching negativity, and that was you. I don't think you're in a position to be calling other people "not fun at parties" when you enter a random thread just to dump on a game that is very highly regarded by fans of the series, and offer nothing but a pretty laughable assessment of its technology and presentation.

OP, this is a good deal. XC games are weird when it comes to sales: they do typically drop in price, but it can take some time, and (like most first party games) they rarely drop below 39.99 (though it does happen on occasion).
came out in 2015 but ok…
Whats censored? Some cleavage on a character thats supposed to be 13 years old? Im seeing there's less boob customization as well. Oh no. I mean, good god...what will we ever do?

$10 just for nostalgia. This game would be great if it was 2005.

Holding for $39.97 or less
Should happen fairly quickly. Waiting for the same. Still have XC1 and XC3 to play but definitely excited for this.

Unfortunately this is going to be censored like the US Wii U version.
I have the US Wii U version and someone developed an uncensoring mod.
Hopefully that mod can be ported to Switch. That is said it is much harder to apply mods to Switch than Wii U.
The Japanese Wii U version is not censored but Wii U is region-locked.

My favorite of the series is XB2. (I played the Japanese version from Japan eshop)
While the graphics are a bit dated the presentation and story are really impressive.

Lmao that was my exact thought reading that dude's comment. Like, this isn't Skyrim or Witcher where it might make some sense.

Anyway, back on topic, hoping to grab this at $30-35 a few months out. Like some of the other other Xenoblade games, it's likely to be limited prints, so it will stop being sold at retail prices at one point or another. Then you'd only have 3rd-party sellers at that point or buy digital.

I bet you're fun at parties.....anyway, the graphics still suck. World is stagnant and lifeless. This would be cool for an early PS3 game

It will be the same censored version.
Basically they are following the same approach as Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore.
The Japanese version of FE Encore adopted all the censorship in the US Wii U version.
I suppose it is cheaper to port just one version instead doing two different versions which is likely the reason.
The censorship in FE Encore is even worse as it greatly affected the plot in addition to making some outfits look really weird as a result.
Compare to FE Encore the censorship on XBX is not as bad. Still some of the outfits look a bit unnatural after the censorship. So I highly prefer the modded uncensored version.
Just like Yuji Horii (creator of Dragon Quest) complained, there is so much censorship in the west from both the left and the right that he has to make a lot of unnecessary changes to his original design that was totally acceptable more than 30 years ago. He actually didn't want to make those changes himself but was forced to.

I'm on the fence here - I've bought every game in the series and just finished spending 130 hours in XC3. However - I wasn't a fan of this one initially on release and don't think I ever finished it. Mostly, I'm worried that the great improvements in combat and progression that XC3 had are not going to be here since it's just a remaster. I'm probably going to hang back and wait for a bigger discount somewhere.

Play 1 before 3 for story line reasons

I'll never understand people getting upset over the "censorship" of overly sexualized underage girls.
