i'm always worried that the straw is going to jab me in the throat when im driving and get into an accident so i removed the straw. now i have to lift the tumbler to my face to take a sip and now it blocks my view. dont drink and drive

Is the straw 100% solid on this model? I have the 32oz and the 24oz hydroflask tumblers and the part that sticks up is flexible silicone and I've never felt scared of stabbing myself with it. Yetis on the other hand use solid straws, which are definitely a risk of stabbing your eye/throat while driving

When I was a kid I got a pretty good jab in the throat from a plastic straw tripping on some stairs, a metal draw would have been really bad. I've never been comfortable using them

I believe all these hydro-flask tumblers have silicone straw, I have 3 of them and I've been seeing these at TJMaxx for the $20 all have silicone straws.
