See previous threads here on T-Mobile. They have become really consumer unfriendly in the last couple of years.
2) Phone cannot be cracked in the screen and no moisture/water damage. Also, cannot have destroyed pixels and dead spots. The back of the phone can have some wear & tear and cracks.
3) Best deal is to buy a Samsung S10 from eBay for your trade-in. This promotion will probably last another two weeks based on what they are saying from the subreddit.
4) You can get $100 Costco cashcard for being a Costco member. You can call or in-store. I've done both. I would probably call as it was quicker and just as simple. You also don't need to bring the phone with you. Just an IMEI. Just make sure the phone you are submitting qualifies or else you're going to be in a heap of trouble submitting the IMEI of a phone that might come cracked, etc.,
5) You can ship your trade-in phone or bring it in to a T-Mobile corporate store. Just tell them you have a phone to trade in... They will do basic checks and automatically approve your phone for trade-in on the spot. Saves you the hassle of UPS losing your trade-in phone during shipment.
Most of these questions have been asked... Just look at the old T-Mobile thread from two weeks ago.

I'm not leaving Tmobile anytime soon. Simple choice has been good to me and the price is excellent.
Also, if you have an older iPhone, sell it privately. I'm sure an iPhone 13 could easily get $250 at the very minimum. Use that to pay some of the new device off
One more thing, check to see how much is your financing limit with Tmobile. I did not check my limit but on the 4th 16 pro upgrade, I had to put around $500 down payment.
Be sure you get a receipt. It should deduct your "true value" from your bill and then your bill credits start
Let's say they value your phone at $40. $40 would be an automatic credit off your bill. $460 would be spread out over 24 months
There have been stories where people take the trade in to Tmobile and Tmobile ships it out to be inspected vs them actually inspecting it on the spot. Be sure you go to a corporate store
If the phone passes inspection, you'll get a $500 credit that will be disbursed in 24 monthly credits to your account. The value of your phone will be subtracted from the $500 and applied to your account immediately. Ex: $500 credit minus $110 (trade-in phone's worth) = $390 in credit over 24 months. $110 will be applied immediately.
Will it be accepted for trade-in? anyone has experience? Thanks
Yes. Do it at Costco to get $100 gift card too.
yeah unfortunately I did it through T-Mobile, I don't think it's shipped I wonder if I can cancel?

Yup I realized I got screwed, but I'll just let it go this time since the accessory I got is a usb-c power adapter which I actually need. I'll take note of this for next time though.
Should I refuse the UPS delivery or accept it and return the unopened phone to the store?
Yes, refuse UPS delivery or leave a refuse note on the door with last 6 tracking info to let UPS driver know. Otherwise if you accept it and try to return it you will be charged $70 restocking fee. Refusing delivery avoids the $70 restocking fee. Which phone did you want now ?
You got a good deal anyways.

If it's really bad, they could deny it under the basis of "Screen damage"
Most of the sellers buy it from an auction and offer free returns because anything can happen when you sell that many phones and they could miss something.
The listing should pretty much list the issues..
Most of them are just scratched and a few nicks. If it has a crack in the front screen, screen damage (distorted pixels and colors), or water damage, your phone will be denied.
If there are scratches/cracks on the back, it's fine. Just as long as it isn't the screen.
I bought four samsung s10's and none of them had any issues. just read the description.
Nvm. Found the answer via reddit. The $30 is an Apple "discount" if you connect to a carrier immediately at purchase point.

4 upgrades to 16 pro on simple choice.
Purchased 4 cheap samsungs on eBay. I have newer iPhones but I would not trade those in UNLESS you don't want to mess with eBay/swappa etc.
It does take a bit more time on eBay since you have to be sure there are no issues with the phone.
I paid about $100 after taxes for each trade in. I did all 4 upgrades over the phone with Tmobile Costco.
$67 each up front for taxes, $35 x 4 activation fees waived.
Most Tmobile Costco reps will push accessories, insurance, wearable devices etc...just decline.
I also submitted 4x $100 Costco cash which I consider as cash for paying the 4 trade ins
I took the 4 trade ins to a corporate store. I reset all the devices and went through the initial setup so that the rep could easily see the imei. I made sure to go early around opening time in order to avoid a wait time. I know that reps don't really like helping people when there is no commission for them to earn. Especially now that Tmobile is moving to the tlife app for most transactions.
The reps gave me a receipt for each trade in.
I went with this deal because older rate plans rarely get deals. The last deal was the half price iPhone 13's.
