Great price. These Wayne pumps don't draw water directly from the bottom of the pit; they have a higher intake. Meaning, they won't suck up tiny rocks that make their way into the pit and will jam up an impeller. This is a good design feature

This is NOT a solid waste pump, those are totally different in design. This is a freshwater sump pump.

And these are also Made in USA by a team thats been doing this a LONG time, they stand by their work. Wish i could rep this twice.

Dont get caught without a spare on hand in your basement! For a tiny investment, if you end up needing it, it will save you thousands.

Good deal. I like to have one on standby too. Hopefully they don't get cracked O-rings or anything after sitting for a few years? But I've never had a problem.

Have been in the market for a future replacement sump pump from Wayne as mine has some years on it. Came across this today, in for one

Definitely better than the big box store plastic zoeller pumps with electro magnetic switch. Equivalent to many of the all metal ones. Wayne makes the Rigid stainless steel ones too.

I replaced a laundry tray system pump with a a zoeller from Lowes. Switched failed in a little over a year. They wouldn't fix it. Part was un-buyable at the time at least to fix it or warrantee it. Bought one of these (1/3hp) and it is solid as a rock. The only zoeller ones that anyone should be are the old school all metal ones with mechanical switchs. M53s etc.

Does this model have plastic on the float switch? I had a very similar one - stainless, but 1/2 horsepower. The plastic switch stopped working. I can't tell if this is plastic or not from the pictures. It is the black piece that the float will hit to turn on the pump when the water rises off the back of the pump. It looks very similar to the old one I still have in the basement. Plastic wore out a bit and wouldn't flip the switch to turn on the pump.

I purchased a zoeller cast iron that has been working for years and that is all metal for the switch part.

The price seems good, I'm just not sure about the quality based on my experience.
