I actually have this that I bought from Monoprice years ago. It is big and hefty. There's no doubt it can hold all of what it's advertised for. I went to home depot to buy my own bolts to be sure. I measured my studs precisely where they're located to make sure I insert the bolts right in the middle of the studs so I don't crack it because the bolts are quite big and the weight on it will be a lot. Right now it is holding my 77" LG G4 and Samsung Q990C soundbar with ease.

The only drawback is the distance from the TV to the wall. It leaves a lot of space so if you're looking for a flush install, this isn't it. Since so much work was put in to ensure a stable mount, I don't mind keeping it even if it isn't flush. It is stable and secured.

Another thing, the holes on the VESA mount could be spaced out better. I was limited by what holes I could use due to spacing limitation.

TLDR: If you're looking for a stable mount, this is it. If you're looking for flush mount, look elsewhere.

I bought this for $30 and thought it was a great deal. It's built really well and can probably hold double the stated capacity

Did the mount seem smaller than expected to anyone who got it? The Walmart add stated it would hold 110 pounds, but the box says 100 pounds. There's also nothing in the manual that says the size in inches it holds. I've got a 75" tv, but I'm not trying to risk anything.

Will this allow me to pull out a 50" TV and have it tilted at 90 degrees from the wall?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but a mount like this states it will hold up to an 84" tv with a weight capacity to 110 pounds. Why wouldn't this hold an 85" tv that only weighs 80 pounds? Does it have to do with the mounting pattern spacing/design? The VESA supported options on the mount show 600x400 which is the same for some 85" tv's.
It would. Where does it say it doesn't?

Lag bolts are a major pain with lower strength, use long construction screws with large fender type washers.

Dumb question but how is your soundbar attached to it?
