Very good deal on a franchise that unfortunately cease to exist with the closure of Monolith Games. Both are also Steam Deck Verified. I'm considering picking them up just so I can play them again portably.

Being dead in the sense that we'll never see the mechanic pop up in another game, I believe that makes it worth picking up but not a better deal. The Nemesis system is officially a piece of gaming history trapped in amber, doomed to rest until someone manages to wrestle that patent away from WB.

But just for info's sake, Shadow of War was actually filled with microtransactions, including p2w purchases, but gamers rallied until WB reluctantly backed down. It was heartwarming to see!
Patents expire. It'll be freely usable at some point.

I recently started playing these again and game can be a tad difficult in the beginning. Otherwise, it's been a fun game that runs very well on the Ally. Graphics and Gameplay both hold up well

This might be a low iq question but would this play on macbook
"Macbook" could mean anything... going to need way more details than that to tell you anything. For one, is it an Intel MacBook or an ARM processor (M1, M2, M3, M4).. if the latter, you can make it work with Wine maybe but if you have to ask then it's probably beyond your ability. If it's an Intel machine, then you can look up the game specs and see if you meet them and then install Windows on your laptop and play the game that way.

If macos or lower spec laptops is your preferred system familiarize yourself with cloud gaming. Its surprisingly good if you have adequate internet. The isp, the home network and the client all matter. For example, no matter how good your home internet is, you will not have a good experience on 2.4ghz wifi or in a area of your home where wifi is sketchy or if using cheap or poorly implemented wifi extenders.

Just a quck check games don't seem to be supported by Geforce now. Amazon luna only seems to support shadow of war. Anyone else feel free to jump in.

Clound gaming has changed my life. My kid can even play amazing titles on his chromebook for free provided we own the game in an online store like steam! GeForce now free tier currently offers unlimited 1hr chunks of time. Obviously a $1600-3k computer will give you a better experience but in my experience I've been surprised how good cloud gaming can be. Mostly play fortnite battles right now for reference.
