334 for the plus isn't too bad. Beats the lowest it gets new when the wind blows perfectly and deals stack or something.

400 is a lot more common to see it at, and I think what you'll see it at TJ MAXX for.

I think the plus is worth the extra $$

the plus is very good. i started off not being too impressed (at the time i felt it wasn't much better than cheaper machines) but a few months later i've changed my mind. that said the build quality is just barely acceptable, i hope it is capable of lasting 5+ years with light usage.

You would definitely need the warranty. I bought the Bambino plus for 350 on 2023 black Friday and within an year, 11 mos in needed a replacement. I gifted this for a friend. So they did get a replacement.

The 350 for the plus is a unicorn deal as Target stacked multiple coupons to make it happen

Here's my account...

I bought a Bambino Plus in Apr 2022, sent it back for a failing solenoid Mar 2023, and then had to sent the replacement (likely refurbished) back for the same problem May 2023. Granted, the second replacement has been fine since then but I probably wouldn't gamble on one of these with only a 6 month warranty.

I mentioned this at the time to one of my co-workers, and he'd also had the solenoid fail on his Breville...

I had the Bambino and returned it as the lack of a solenoid valve was annoying. If you have never had a machine with a solenoid, you might be able to tolerate it. I recall the Bambino was around $260 with some stacked Target offers, but I did not think it was worth that. At $200, I think it is. Fast forward to this past December and I picked up the Bambino Plus in blue from Amazon for $340 unsure whether I would keep it, but I ended up doing so. I do not use it every day, but other than the very low capacity drip tray, which is expected given the overall compact size of the machine, I am very happy with the performance and build quality. I think the Plus is easily worth $335.

I had one and pump broke down within few months still withing warranty. They sent me a new one. I eventually sold it on craigslist. Interestingly bambino plus was best espresso entry point pick by wirecutter but they no longer recommend it. They recommend Gagia instead now

Fwiw, I went with the hibrew h10a and love it. Over a year in, 2-3 espressos per day, zero issues. Can be found in deals for $200-250.

My friend tried a bambino and returned it, then bought the h10a at my suggestion. Said it makes a more consistent espresso and has more features. I'd seriously consider it for an entry level machine.

I paired it with a df54 and couldn't be happier!

I've owned the regular Bambino for a few months. It's fine. The messy puck is not really an issue for me since I wash in the sink anyway. I like to steam my milk manually, so the Plus offered very little for the additional $200. That said, with these refurbs, the saving on the Plus is more and could be worth it. (Now sold out.)

But to be honest, dialing in an espresso is hard! I ended up going back to my Aeropress, and when I need an espresso, I use my Nespresso (I know.)

Honestly surprised to see so many people with issues here. I bought a Bambino Plus a couple of years ago that gets daily use and have never had an issue. Keep with maintenance and I would really expect these machines to last for years. Granted I bought a new one, so I can't speak to the quality of their refurbs, but I would definitely take a chance based on my experience with Breville so far.

This is probably a misunderstanding of what this is. This is an espresso machine, it does not make "Coffee" per se. It does not take pods, you will need a coffee grinder. It makes espresso at the precise brew temperature configured, which is extremely hot.
