Blackstone has a thousand models so no one knows what your referring to but this thing is perfect for camping if you have power outlets. This is a really good deal with the flat top griddle and cover, these are pretty tried and true at this point, I use my XL for everything I can when weather permits and I have the oven model for pizzas
That just means you don't know how to use it. You put the food in AFTER ignition.

I wanted to like this thing but it ended up going back. It's essentially an air fryer and the whole smoking thing is all a gimmick. Put some bacon on the griddle and open the lid and it shoots hot bacon grease across your chest. There's no way to turn the fan on or off. All the settings essentially do the same thing. It's heavy too.

I bought the woot deal. But if I hadn't, I would have gotten this one.

whats the difference between this version and the one that went FP with Lowe's [lowes.com] for $148?
Based on what I see this includes a cover and a flat griddle vs. a grated (?) one with Lowe's. Am I missing something?

If you are hoping to use this as a smoker, I would avoid it. It pumps far too much white smoke and makes everything taste like smoke, not "smoked"

Assuming this isn't the fancy bluetooth version. Been waiting for the pro-connect version forever. The ge indoor version looks interesting , but looks less smokey on food.

Interesting. Gonna try it as an adjunct to my Davy Jones for RV travel. That one is a bit too heavy to lug around, and doesn't do grilling

Thanks for the heads up. I just got one from Costco ordered on March 2nd, so put in for the price adjustment. I haven't tried the smoker function, but it did a great job on a couple of steaks Friday night. Cleanup is more involved than my old outdoor grill, but this is great for as much as I use one.

Gonna echo the comment above that this was a disappointment. This thing is a grill in the same way a $20 George Foreman Grill is a grill, ie, it isn't one.

Food tastes exactly like it was made on a George Foreman, or if you use the smoke basket it tastes like you made a mistake cooking on a George Foreman grill. I would much rather food cooked on a basic propane grill versus this with its "smoke".

If you want something that tastes like you cooked it inside on a small appliance this is great, but you could probably get a comparable setup much cheaper.

I had this on a plastic folding table until I bought the Ninja stand
Does the Ninja stand fold up very compact? I searched for over an hour the other day to find someone reviewing it and they all skip over what it looks like folded up. I need it to be compact for the motorhome. If not I will just keep using my table.

I would pass on this one and get the Pro Connect. It's bigger, comes with more features, 2 probes and the app is outstanding. Sam's Club recently had it on sale for $110 more, including a cover.

Great if you have the big power station/solar or generator setup to power this camping, because no fire to worry about, the smoker is a caged pellet box burned by an electrical element. You need a lot of electrical capacity though. Also great to make a smoked pork shoulder or brisket. Not as good as a 14 hour gourmet brisket, but a for its ability to make 4 hour smoked brisket, it's fantastic. Where it really shines for me is in making salt free smoked salmon. I put it on 150 dehydrate setting and use the smoke element for about an hour. Absolutely fantastic. If you have a condo that allows electric bbq's, this is a great tool for bbq. Not sure how durable they are tho, mine crapped out over Thanksgiving doing turkey drumettes. I'll probably use this deal so I can have my smoked salmon again, I really miss doing up a bag of Costco salmon. It's the tits.
