These are my favorite pens. They write well and I really enjoy the minimalist smooth cylinder shape. They feel nice in my hand.

Tried these and hated them, very cheaply built. I'll never buy them again as long as Bic pens are around the same price. I'm a big fan of the Bic Crystal stick pens, because they write smoothly forever and the faceted barrel is more comfortable. Not the Bic round sticks, which always seems to come apart with the cap, just the old school Crystal. But hey, for $2, get whatever you like. Is the "normal" $5.19 price bogus?

Local Walmart here had the 10 pack of Bic Cristal multi-color on clearance for $1. I think they may have been a bold point too, though some people might only want blue or black.

Have you used the pens on your local banks' counters and fallen in love with how smooth and even the ink came out? These TRU RED pens use the exact same tip I think. I love these pens so much

Replaceable pens are ok if you're in a office environment and don't care if they get lost or stolen, but if it's a pen for you, I'd highly recommend getting an F-701 for like $8 and then buy a pack of refills. It makes your writing experience so much better.

Yes, I get that these throwaways are cheaper.

I don't work at a branch but do work for a bank, I would guess it's more the counter than the pens.

I know it's the pen because sometimes I write checks placed directly on the counter, sometimes placed on my checkbook on the counter and the pen felt the same. Very smooth, very even ink.
