I just double checked my map, Oregon is in fact quite a bit more than just Portland.

Also the new airport is lovely, glad to see flights options picking up. May jump on this one.
Seen someone doing drugs publicly once in my 6 years so far here. Its like when people said the city was on fire and the riots were happening, not once saw them.
Do you ever leave your house? I literally just got back from Cane's and saw a lovely married couple doing crack outside the mall. It's like a daily occurrence and I only go out to eat.

I visited Portland two years ago for a wedding. So many tents and wild characters.

The nature is nice, I miss hiking and biking and being like two hours from the coast. I don't miss the people or traffic though. It's also Salem, Eugene, Corvallis, and Bend, which are just as crunchy or on their way to being so. I was there in August and the airport revamp was like three days from opening. I'll be back there in April or May so I guess I'll get to see it.
For reference (in case we're profiling folks here), I live in Bellevue, WA and vote blue as hell:
This dude is 100% correct. Portland is rough as hell these days. Like, it is surprisingly bad, even compared to Seattle.
They are sadly also correct that other parts of Oregon are also struggling with a large homeless/drug addict population... Was in Salem over the holidays... Yeah...
It's a damn shame because other than that Oregon is an absolutely beautiful and amazing state. It really gives Washington a run for it's money. But boy has it gotten rough.
I don't have any answers but c'mon folks. Reality is reality.

I've been in October and it was pretty humid. I would avoid August through Mid October, summers in Japan are brutal.

Yup, it's bad all around the west coast but I would still rather live here than anywhere else in the country.

Do you miss the homeless people and people shooting up in your driveway? I lived in Portland for 40 years, moved, and never looked back.
I think I saw a maga hat deal recently, OR will not miss you

Are you a 90's kid? Feel like that Ranma 1/2 reference is pretty dated these days.
