Deal Details
"Switch and get iPhone 16e (128) GB for $299.99 on any new Verizon Prepaid Unlimited phone plan. Plus, get $300 in credits over 12 most."

This deal is similar to the Total and Straight Talk deals in the sense that the phone is priced at about $300 at the time of purchase, and also has the option of receiving $25/month for 12 months. Requires port in.

Verizon's prepaid Unlimited plan is $60/month ($50 after autopay), and Verizon's prepaid Unlimited Plus plan is $70/month ($60 after autopay).

Offer states that it ends on 3/27/25 "at Verizon stores" (probably consider going to a corporate store, even though the web page does not specify) and 4/7/25 online, or while supplies last.

Plus taxes and fees.

Chat line had told me that to Unlock 2 months of Active was necessary.
I had assumed only 1 month was necessary and had come up with $364 total.
Can someone shed light on this issue?
Should be same as Total deal, this is a prepaid phone

I was considering switching to VZW because of data prioritization. My understanding is that all prepaid plans are de-prioritized. I believe the lowest tier contract plan ("Unlimited Welcome") is de-prioritized as well.

Is it true with unlimited welcome?

I'm currently on Verizon prepaid and planning to switch as both signal and data are terrible. If it's going to be same even after the switch, I may have to choose a different carrier

Verizon
Verizon only uses 3 QCI classes – 7, 8, and 9.

QCI 7 is reserved exclusively for Verizon Frontline customers so this priority level may as well not exist for those of us who aren't first responders.

QCI 8 is given to the business Plus 5G, business Pro 5G, consumer postpaid plans (other than Welcome Unlimited), all of Xfinity Mobile's plans, all of Spectrum Mobile's plans, Lexvor, and MobileX. US Mobile's Warp 5G SIM offers QCI 8 data on 5G devices only. Visible+ has QCI 8 as well until 50GB of LTE/5G Nationwide data is used (5G UW is unlimited QCI 8). Total Wireless' Total 5G Unlimited and Total 5G+ Unlimited plans have unlimited priority data included.

QCI 9 goes to everything else. The Start 5G business plan, branded prepaid besides the Unlimited Plus plan, Visible's base plan, US Mobile Warp 5G when on an LTE only device, Mobi, and all other prepaid companies that use Verizon's network are known to assigned to this QCI. Anyone who uses their premium data bucket on Verizon's brands will be moved to QCI 9.

Why they never include the 256gb and 512gb deals? First carrier to include bigger sizes will sell alot more…
No they won't. People that are buying these barely have enough $$ to get 1 at $599. It would be $699 for 256GB and $899 for 512.

I like that you can just walk into a verizon store for this, instead of dealing with walmart.
Can anyone confirm if there's any activation fees etc? I'm sure tax is probably going to be on the MSRP which will suck ($42 at 7%) guessing it'll be over $400 out the door

The last time I bought a phone online from walmart it wasn't activated, and when I tried to get them to activate it they totally messed up the whole thing, processing it as a return, and then they didn't realize they couldn't re-sell it to me.
I still love walmart but will never buy another phone from them, my heart can't take it lmao.

The web site says that the $35 activation fee is waived if you purchase online, so I would infer that means that in store there is no guarantee they will waive the fee for you.

I'm a bit confused. To get the 299 price don't you have to keep it active for 12 months? I know it unlocks in 2 but am I missing something?
I know most deals I've run across that offer monthly credits back, if you cancel before x months the price goes up to full price.

Sorry I'm an old fart and not the sharpest anymore.

No, you get $300 off to begin with. The second $300 is given in monthly discounts off the plan of $25/month. Since this is prepaid they can't charge you for leaving early.
